“itadori, please respect his personal space—”
“kugisaki! stop hitting him—”
“megumi, don’t you dare bring that elephant out in my classroom—”
peace and quiet is short-lived whenever the first years are around.
you manage to quiet them down with the threat of assigning an essay, allowing you a moment’s respite to massage your temples and lean back in your seat, glancing at your phone to check just how many minutes you have left with them.
a notification pops up as you do, bringing on a whole new headache.
[satoru]: send nudes?
you quickly turn your phone over so it’s screen-down, face burning as you look around to make sure no one had seen.
peace and quiet is also short-lived whenever satoru calls out sick. because the strongest sorcerer of your time…currently has a cold.
he is, predictably, very dramatic whenever he’s sick. a mild fever means he puts himself on bedrest. a sore throat means he needs to be spoon fed a very specific homemade soup.
but the worst…oh, the worst is when he has a cold.
when satoru’s sinuses are clogged, he’s an absolute menace to deal with. his sneezes shake the apartment and his whines about sinus pressure are all you hear at the dinner table.
luckily, the students have resorted to quietly bothering each other, so you slowly turn your phone back around to deal with the man child who is likely littering the living room floor with tissues.
he’s stuck at home, which means he’s got nothing to do but annoy you.
[satoru]: haha jk
[satoru]: unless…?
huffing, you quickly type back a response.
[you]: NOT funny. i’m at work.
[satoru]: so what you’re saying is you’ll send them during lunch right ;)
“miss!” itadori shouts, his arm raised. “can fushiguro come to the arcade with us after class?”
“of course,” you say. “but please don’t forget to finish your essays on cursed technique origins. it’s due on monday.”
yuuji’s practically bouncing in his seat as he grabs megumi’s arm. hear that, fushiguro? you hear as you pick up your phone. your mom said yes!
megumi, who usually comes home on the weekends, still looks to you for approval. you assure him with a small nod and smile.
sometimes you just want to wrap him up in your arms and never let go. he may have been another couple’s blessing, but ultimately he’s yours and gojo’s pride and joy. possibly the only one you have left, as it stands.
thought you’re a little sad that he won’t be home for dinner tonight, you remind yourself that he’s growing up. for as long as you’ve known him, he’s always been a sort of lone wolf. but a lone wolf is still a wolf, and a wolf needs a pack.
he’s finally found friends he’s comfortable with, and it’s good that he wants to spend time with them and vice versa.
your phone buzzes insistently in your hand.
[satoru]: pleeeeeaaaase?
[satoru]: i think it’ll really help with my recovery…
[satoru]: if this cold kills me the last thing i want to see is a picture of you
oh, that’s actually kind of—
[satoru]: nude, preferably
maybe it’s a good thing megumi won’t be home tonight. you don’t need any witnesses to the crime you’re about to commit.
[you]: what’ll help with your recovery is a visit to the infirmary.
there’s a short pause, then you watch the little bubble appear and disappear about six times.
[satoru]: shit
[satoru]: is this a scene?
you roll your eyes, waving at the kids as they head out to catch the train.
[you]: i hate you
he doesn’t answer, so you get up to hurry over to your office, shutting and locking the door behind you.
you wait a moment, opening the camera on your phone as you do so.
once the sound of footsteps echoing through the hall disappears, you start unbuttoning the first few buttons of your shirt—
you scream when a loud sneeze startles you, satoru suddenly appearing at your side.
he doesn’t miss a beat, plucking a tissue from your desk and blowing his nose loudly. he throws it in the general direction of the bin before slapping his palm onto your desk.
you can tell he’s attempting to be some sort of seductive, but it’s dampened bu the way he sniffles loudly, his face a little red.
“hello, doctor,” he says, a lazy grin spread across his face. “i’m here for my physical.”
“honey,” you laugh, gently cupping the sides of his face. “you need to rest.”
“but ‘m not tired,” he pouts, leaning in to nose at your neck. his skin is warm against yours, much too warm for your liking.
you tangle your fingers in his hair, scratching lightly at his scalp. “since i’m your doctor, i’m prescribing a nap.”
“a nap does sound kind of nice…”
he gets up, taking your hand and dragging you over to the couch with him. he locks you within his embrace, sighing contentedly as he presses you to his chest.
“wait, satoru i have to supervise the second years’ training—”
it’s too late. he’s already asleep, snoring loudly in your ear.
so you take out your phone and text nanami, asking if he can cover for you this afternoon.
because a sick satoru is a needy satoru, and you won’t be leaving this couch for a while.

Tumblr media
Bradley had never been a big gesture kind of guy. He never really saw the point in it. He always figured it was easier to tell how much someone cared about you through their day-to-day interactions instead of the occasional over the top displays.
He knew Natasha had his back by the way she simply helped him prepare for tonight by taking you out for drinks without asking too many questions. And he hoped she knew that the steady friendship he built with her was strong even though their birthday steak dinners and weekend morning runs weren't flashy. He felt similarly about Maverick, thankful that he knew where he stood with him once again without having to prove it.
But Bradley wanted you to know that he was going to love you forever by the way he treated you when you were alone together, and by the way he couldn't help but occasionally show off his romantic side. He knew you didn't need words written in the sky when he would prefer to pour his heart out to you in letters and emails, but he didn't want to simply propose by handing you his mother's ring either.
That's why he got your students to fold up the paper planes. Because he just couldn't help but both ask you to marry him and show you how much those letters changed his life at the same time.
"Bradley?" Your voice was breathy as he watched your eyes flick to the wall and then back to his face. "Paper planes?"
He smiled. "It's all the letters you and your class sent to me. You know... when you were looking for a Naval aviator to write back and answer a few questions? I guess a few questions turned into a lot more than that. And a simple correspondence with a gorgeous fourth grade teacher soon made me realize that you're the woman of my dreams. My pen pals changed my whole life." He gestured toward the wall. "Your students helped me fold them up yesterday."
"They did?" you whispered as he closed the distance to you before getting down on one knee.
"They did," he confirmed, looking up at your beautiful face as tears filled your eyes. "I love you. And I have something for you, Gorgeous." He swallowed hard. "It was my mom's." He held up the engagement ring that he remembered from his childhood but thought had been long ago buried with Carole. "I want you to have it. Unless you don't like it. It's from 1984, and it's definitely vintage, so I won't be upset if you tell me you'd rather have something more modern. Maverick was holding onto her engagement ring for safekeeping." He knew he was rambling, but now that it was time to say the most important words, his nerves were taking over. "I had no idea until he heard me talking about how desperately I want to marry you."
"Bradley," you gasped, chest rising and falling rapidly with emotion as a tear streaked down your cheek. "Are you serious?"
He was serious. He was in love. He wanted this forever. "Will you marry me?"
You didn't make him wait long to see your beautiful smile and hear your calming voice. "Yes. Yes, I'll marry you, Bradley."
You started to drop down to your knees, and he caught you along the way as your lips met his. He could feel you everywhere. Your arms around his neck were familiar, and so was your soft laughter and your kisses. But your words promising forever were new.
"I love you, Gorgeous," he swore between kisses. "I fucking love you, Baby."
"I love you, too," you whispered, cupping his face in both of your hands and kissing him.
Bradley realized he was holding the ring tight in his hand and loosened his grip so you could really take a look. "Let me put it on your finger? Make it official?"
You nodded in excitement, and then Bradley had to blindly slide it into place as you kissed him relentlessly.
---------------------------------
Each of the paper planes taped to the wall was familiar to you. After so many months, you could tell which of your students had written the notes based on the handwriting. As you ran your fingers along the letters, you recognized your own handwriting there as well. The flickering candle light shone on the paper planes as well as the ring on your finger.
This was all so romantic. You never dreamed you'd be so thoroughly loved, but here you were with Bradley's lips on the side of your neck as he stood behind you, letting you inspect the message he hung up on the wall.
MARRY ME?
"In an abundance of detail, please explain to me how you managed to get my students to fold all of these up during Career Day without me noticing."
His deep rumble of laughter sent goosebumps along your skin. "You have to know by now who my regular accomplice is."
You spun around in his arms and kissed him as his big hands settled low on your hips. "Natasha can't be trusted," you whispered, gently running your fingers through his hair. "She's too loyal to you. But I know your strategy now."
"That's okay. I don't need her to be sneaky on my behalf anymore. Proposing to you was my main objective."
"Bradley," you whispered, smiling so much your face hurt. You examined the ring as you dragged your fingers through his hair. Part of you was still surprised by how the evening turned out, but he had been promising you from the very start that he was serious about you. "Bradley, you just gave me your mom's ring."
"Yeah," he grunted, running his nose along your cheek and ear. His breath was warm against your skin as he said, "We can pick out something else if you don't like it. The diamond is pretty small, because my parents got married when they were twenty-four. I think that's all my dad could afford, and-"
You silenced him with your lips on his. "It's perfect. Like you. I don't want anything else. Or anyone else."
Those big hands were on your butt now, and his body was snug up against yours as he kissed you so hard, you moaned. The living room smelled like all of the different candles at one time, and the lighting was kind of magical. And you realized you were engaged to the man you started to fall in love with before you even kissed him for the first time.
As soon as you took one small step toward the bedroom, Bradley followed your lead. You could tell he was excited as he scooped you up into his arms, and you kept yourself snug against him as he grew harder for you. Just as you ran your lips along his scars while he carried you through the bedroom doorway, his stomach growled so loudly, you started to laugh.
"You didn't eat dinner," you whispered, kissing him softly, trying to hold back the desire you felt.
"Baby, I have a whole plan," he replied, all smiles as you nipped at his lips until you landed on your back on the bed. "Dinner at Salvatore's is happening, but not until I fuck my fiancée."
You whined softly as he dragged your leggings slowly down, and you arched your back so he could remove your shirt. Then you watched him struggle to get undressed with his erection as you touched yourself. "You're taking me out for an engagement dinner?" you asked, running your fingers between your breasts and down your belly. He stumbled out of his jeans, eyes fixed on your body as you circled your clit with your middle finger.
"Well... maybe not," he grunted. "I should have thought this through a little better. Now I just want to keep you in bed."
The words were taken from your mouth and turned into a moan as he spread your legs apart and kissed you where you were touching yourself. "Bradley." Your fingers went to his hair as he teased and kissed his way up your body, letting you taste yourself on his lips and mustache.
"I love you, Gorgeous," he crooned, guiding the tip of his cock through your wetness until you were clenching with need. When you were ready for him, all you had to do was roll your hips up. When you were ready for more, he filled you up and didn't stop until you came.
--------------------------
"I should probably just try to get us a standing reservation," Bradley murmured, making you laugh as you were led to your table at Salvatore's. The two of you just finished a bottle of the overpriced wine you liked so much at the bar, and now you were looking up at him like you'd rather just go back home for round two of engagement sex instead of dinner. But he knew he wouldn't make it to that point until he ate something.
"Don't look at me like that," he whispered, grinning as you sat down when the waiter pulled out your chair.
As soon as you and he were both seated, you asked, "How exactly would you like me to look at my future husband?"
Your words left him a little breathless as he reached for your left hand which now displayed the ring that told everyone else you were going to be his wife. He couldn't stop touching you, and you were just as bad as your legs tangled with his beneath the table. "Maybe we should have made sandwiches at home."
Even mentioning food out loud made his stomach growl louder as he inhaled the delicious scent of pasta. "We'll be back home soon," you told him. "In the meantime, while we take a break from our engagement sex marathon, why don't we talk about our summer wedding?"
Bradley nodded as he laced his fingers with yours. "You know, I always wanted to try running a marathon, but I think I like this type even better."
"You can use the sex marathon as part of your training regimen."
The smile on his lips wasn't going to go away anytime soon. Maybe it was the same smile that had been there since the first time he looked at your photo. "Are you really going to agree to a summer wedding?"
"You told my students that's what you wanted," you replied immediately.
"I owe your kiddos so much. If they didn't think I was cool as hell, I'd have gotten nowhere with their teacher. We should invite them to our wedding."
You laughed as Bradley waved down the waiter and ordered three entrees. He was still holding your hand as he told the guy, "And you may as well just bring some to-go containers out along with the food. We've been engaged for about two hours, so I'm getting a little antsy to get back home again. I'm sure you can understand."
"Congratulations," he murmured as you cradled your forehead in your right hand.
"Bradley," you half groaned and half laughed.
"What?" he replied, downing half of his glass of water. "He took one look at you and knows exactly why I can't wait to go home. Now can we talk more about wedding plans?"
You looked beyond amused and very pleased with yourself as you asked, "Do you really want a summer wedding?"
"Absolutely, Gorgeous Girl," he confirmed. "This year. Please don't make me wait."
You bit your lip for a few seconds before you said, "It's already February. That doesn't give us a lot of time. Unless..." Then the waiter returned with some bread, and you asked him, "Do you have a catering menu?"
He nodded. "I'll bring one out with your food and the containers."
Now you were the one tugging on Bradley's hand. "I have a great idea! What if we don't really have a wedding at all?"
His face fell as his lips parted silently. None of this really mattered before he met you, but now that he was here, he could clearly picture the day in his mind. "Baby, I want us to have a wedding day. A white dress and my uniform and flowers and wedding photos and all that shit."
"Bradley," you whispered, wrenching your hand free so you could drag your chair closer to his at the small table. Your palm was on his cheek, tilting his face so you could kiss him while you stroked his scars. "I didn't mean it like that." You kissed him again. "You give me these butterflies, and I swear I can't handle it," you whispered, running your nose along the side of his. "What if we have a simple wedding where we can invite my students? We can still do the dress and the uniform and as many photos as we want. But I think I know the best spot where we can have it all. And then we could go big on our honeymoon."
The wedding, the fourth graders, the honeymoon, the wife. Now he was smiling again. "Tell me more, Gorgeous. In an abundance of detail."
--------------------------------
If anyone saw the two of you, it would have been comical. It was dark out, and you were holding the bag of food containers and trying to unlock the door while Bradley held onto you.
"I think it's a little bit early to be carrying me into the house like this. Pretty sure that's for after the wedding."
"You can't blame me for being excited."
You pushed the door open, and even in the nearly dark house, you could still see the paper airplanes on the wall spelling out his proposal. "Are we keeping that romantic display where it is?" you asked as Bradley took you to the kitchen.
He glanced back over his shoulder. "For now. But I don't want them to get faded or anything like that. I'll flatten the letters out again eventually and find somewhere to store them."
You gasped as you unpacked the food containers and found something at the bottom of the bag. "They gave us an entire cheesecake!" It said Congratulations written in chocolate, and you bounced around in place as Bradley's arm wrapped around you. "That was so sweet of them."
He chuckled and whispered, "They know what they're doing. They have a loyal customer in my wife who always orders the expensive wine."
His fingertips brushed your neck before you felt his mustache there. "You already know I ordered it by accident the first time," you gasped as he sucked gently on the sensitive spot below your ear. "And I'm not your wife yet."
"Based on our tentative plans, you will be in a few short months," he murmured. "Now why don't we put the food away and go back to bed until Monday morning?"
"Monday morning?" you moaned. "You feeling ambitious?"
Bradley practically threw the food into the refrigerator. "My belly is full, you look hot, we're getting married, and we can take a break for cheesecake in a few hours. So yes, I'm feeling very ambitious, Gorgeous."
Your smile was coy, and your voice was low. "A few hours without a break?"
Bradley kissed your parted lips before tasting your tongue. "I want to get some practice in before our honeymoon. Isn't Paris the city of sex?" he asked with a smirk.
"The city of love!" you said, bursting into laughter as he hauled you toward the bedroom again.
"We'll make it both. I want to practice both."
It was always both when you were with him. He was sexy and sweet, his voice close to your ear as you had each other for the third time today. You already knew that all it took was the diamond on your finger to make you go a little wilder for each other. A deployment that ended with an engagement ring? You never wanted this feeling to stop.
The diamond sparkled on your finger as you tugged at his hair. He was so methodical with you. There was a sweet precision to everything he did which felt like the embodiment of his written letters. His voice was familiar and raw with emotion next to your ear as he filled you in every way. His lips were everywhere, praising you and drawing out your orgasm. Calling you the love of his life.
"I need this forever, Gorgeous," he panted, fucking you harder. "I need you."
You were clinging to him, kissing his scars as you came. Then the two of you snuggled in bed and discussed your plans for the perfect wedding.
Although there were more breaks for food and the cheesecake, he did in fact keep you very busy until Monday morning. You went to work exhausted, but you made a quick stop to ask your school administrator if your wedding idea was even feasible. The answer surprised you. Then you got yourself settled in your classroom where eighteen kids soon arrived, and Violet set off a ripple effect as soon as she gasped and asked, "Did Lieutenant Bradshaw give you a wedding ring?"
Jayden and Nia both came running over to your desk to see it. Henry shouted, "She got married! Knew it!" Jackie screamed into her hands about how the magical paper planes worked, and you had to stand and try to calm everyone down.
"I didn't get married! Yet. But Lieutenant Bradshaw asked me to marry him this summer, and I said yes, so I guess the magical paper airplanes did work."
Your classroom erupted into cheers and shouting as you smiled. Thank goodness you went out on a limb and decided to write to a US Naval Aviator. Thank goodness it was Bradley who answered.

Wedding and honeymoon up next? Then the epilogue? We're almost there! Anyone think they know where they'll have their wedding? Thanks @beyondthesefourwalls

Tumblr media
Summary : you've got a new roommate and for your surprise he's your childhood friend's step brother and one day you go to their home town
Pairs : childhood friends!yuta x fem!reader x roommate!shotaro
Warings : SMUT, poly, threesome, dick sucking, kinda degradation, yuta is kinda mean, creamie pie,cum eating, nipple play
W.C : 3.1k.
A/N : I came back after a while and I might do individual parts for each one :/
Tumblr media
Since you were a child you always liked your mom's friend’s son , nakamoto yuta or yuta , you two always played around like any children, you two went to the same school, and hang out with each other a lot , it was until ms.nakamoto and her husband decided to move back to Japan, it was like breaking news for you , you won't see your first love anymore, but not all the and good things remain for too long, you both said your last goodbyes to each other , yuta was one of your few friends, now who will play with you in school and who will have these sleepovers with you and play hide and seek with you , it was heartbreaking for you, but you gotta move on and find new friends.
it was hard for you to make friends since you had the fear of them leaving you and that caused anxiety, but luckily you were popular, you were popular for being smart, pretty,an athlete and religious., you were in a strictly religious family, you knew about morals, went to church, you never had sex. Your mom always told you to wait for the right time. , everybody knew you as the smart , pretty girl, boys tried asking you out but ends up escaping from them cause they wanna hookup , you graduated from high school and got a scholarship in spain , you left the country, your parents, friends, memories, to go and start a new life, that college was one of the biggest colleges in spain , you were smart , but it was filled with smart people anyways , you always got your assignments done and always got good grades , every teacher liked you, all students wanted to be your friend
“Did you hear about that new student?” Your friend asked.
“No I didn't, who is it?” You asked, raising your eyebrows.
“He has a brother who was really popular here for being smart and handsome , you really don't know?” Your friend asked
“No, who is that?” You asked curiously
“The new student is called osaki shotaro, and his brother is called nakamoto yuta”
“Oh , well I'm willing to see the new student then” you chuckle and roll your eyes, you thought about it for a while, the name nakamoto yuta felt familiar, you heard it before, you weren't sure if it was him but you remember he didn't have a brother
“How are they brothers?” You asked curiously
“What do you mean?” Your friend raises her eyebrows
“Like yuta’s last name is nakamoto, while shotaro’s last name is osaki , how are they siblings?” You raise your eyebrows and scratch your head
“They're probably step siblings unless one of them is adopted , it doesn't matter they're both cute” you chuckle at her comment and roll your eyes.
Time goes by the weekend comes while you were just chilling at your dorm , they informed you that the new student will be your roommate , you were just nervous, yes you had friends, but you still had anxiety talking to people was one of your worst fears , you tried calming yourself down but you couldn't help but panic and shake
It was until you heard the door unlock , you take a deep breath before you put on a smile
You heard footsteps until you saw someone come in
“Oh hello , you must be my roommate” he noted and smiles back at you
“Oh yeah it's nice to meet you I'm y/n” you offer your hand as he shakes it
“Well don't mind me , my brother is getting some of things” he says and smiles
“No it's okay, moving out must be really hard” you smile back and help him move his things
You heard footsteps once again assuming it was his brother
“Here you go , god you got a lot of things” you can hear his brother talking
“oh I'm sorry but I'm just kinda nervous, also meet my roommate, y/n come here!” he calls you out, you turn around to face the two men
“Oh hello , I'm y/n nice to meet you” you walk toward them and smile
“Oh hi y/n I'm yuta , nice to meet you too” he smiles and offers his hand, you shake his hand for few seconds and let go of his hand
And smile softly , he felt familiar, he looked familiar, you really wished it was him but at the same time not
“Okay now I'm going, have fun at your new place, take care of yourself” yuta says and hugs his brother tightly
“Thank you yuta , I'll miss you so much, take care of yourself too” he hugs his brother back you were just standing awkwardly, they finally pulled, and yuta leaves as shotaro, lock the door, he sighs and sits on the bed for a while
“I hope we become good friends” you said with a smile
“Yeah, same here !!” He smiles sweetly, gosh his smile was so cute , you wished he smiles like that forever
“Did they give you the schedule?” You asked quietly
“ahh yes they did” he smiles and hands you a paper
“Oh well have the same classes” you say excitedly
“Oh really? Well that will be nice” he says sweetly and smiles softly.
Time goes by , you and shotaro developed a really good friendship , you two hung out together a lot , ate dinner after college, studied together, some people even thought you were dating , sometimes it was funny seeing people saying that the two of you look cute together, you will admit you have a tiny crush on shotaro, but you never knew if it was just a crush or actually love , he invited you to meet his family multiple times in japan but you refuse since you have projects and work to do, he told you that him and yuta are step brothers and that his father and yuta's mother are married since they were both children, now it was understandable why their surnames were different
Days went by and the first year of college is finally done , your plans were to go to meet your family back in your mother country
Shotaro also insisted that you go with him back to Japan to meet his family, you tried to refuse multiple times but he said that his parents wanted to see you so you finally gave up and decided to meet his parents, he told you can stay at their house since they have a guest room , you packed decent clothes , that looked good ,not too formal not too casual so they don't think of her in a bad image or something, you and shotaro finally arrive to japan and yuta welcomes you two
“Yuta omg I missed you” shotaro runs to yuta and hugs him tightly both of them have a smile on their faces
“I miss you too,mom and dad miss you alot they're also waiting impatiently to meet your friend” they both look at you while you stand awkwardly while your luggage is behind you
“Oh hi yuta” you smile and wave.you can hear him chuckle
“Let me take this” he walks to take the luggage from behind you and walks forward with shotaro and you behind them ,both of them sit in the front seats while you're in the backseat , “mom told me to take you both to a restaurant since she's kinda sick to cook food” yuta says
“Is she okay yuta?” Shotaro asks in a worried tone
“Yes she is, but you know mom always overworks herself” yuta sighs and parks the car
“Okay you two get out of the car” yuta says looking at you with a soft smile , you smile back and get out of the car , you went into the restaurant, it was selling Japanese, you heard shotaro complain sometimes to yuta about how much he misses the Japanese food, everyone ordered their food and after finishing yuta paid and he drove home, he unlocks the door, his parents were sitting together watching the tv
“We're home!!” Yuta yelled excitedly
“Oh god shotaro you're home finally” his dad smiles and hugs him tightly
“I'm assuming you're y/n right?” His mom asked you , she looked familiar to you
“Ah yes I am” you smile and nod
“You look familiar oh my , it's hard to remember oh god” she stares at you for few seconds
“Oh my , you're y/n , now I remembered, I'm ms.nakamoto do you remember me? You and yuta used to play together alot” you finally realized why did she look familiar
“Oh !! Yes of course I do remember “ you smile awkwardly as she hugs you tightly
“Yuta !! Come here” she yells, as yuta walks over , his red coloured bangs nearly covering his eyes , he was beautiful as always, since you were kids they always talked about how yuta looked handsome and his charm, girls at school always had a crush on him
“What is it mom?” He questions and raises his eyebrows
“That's y/n !! , the girl you used to play with back when you were a child, remember ? Before we come here” she asks him excitedly
“ahh yes I remember now, it's nice to meet you again y/n” he smiles softly, you smile back to him and nod slightly,Mrs.nakamoto started to ask you about your life and family and talked about her memories with your mom , since they knew each other from childhood , it was nice to hear about all these things after a long time , time passes and everyone goes to bed , shotaro leads you to the room you're supposed to stay at, there wasn't a bed , shotaro looks confusedly and calls his dad
“What happened to the furniture in this room?!” Shotaro asks with a slightly annoyed tone
“Well me and your mother decided to turn it into an office or a small library” his father smiles nervously
“she can sleep at your room shotaro don't be lame” his dad says
Shotaro looks at you in an embarrassed look on his face and sighs
“Follow me y/n…goodnight dad” he says and holds one of your hands leading you to his bedroom , shotaro was always nice and smiley if anyone needed anything they depend on him since he always looks nice and smiley to everyone
He opens his room, “ welcome to my room I guess” His room was warm colored with light brown , beige , etc. , it made you feel really relaxed and chill
“Your room looks great!!” You note and look at him with a smile, h looks at you and smiles warmly, his smile makes you melt , how can he be so cute , you always wondered
“You can sleep on the bed I'll sleep on the floor” he says and sighs
“No no it's okay , we can share the bed , but if you're uncomfortable, I'll be the one sleeping on the floor”
“Well…that's better than sleeping on the floor I guess” he says and chuckles, yo smile at his joke , and both of you lay on the bed ,it wasn't that big , your hands were touching
“Goodnight y/n” he whispers and gives his back to you
“Goodnight” you say and also turn and now your back was also facing him, you don't sleep really quickly, you can feel him moving you doubt that he's asleep, he turns to your side and wraps his hand around your waist, that move made heat , you felt yourself burning, you feel his hard dick against your ass and it made it worst,he was moving and rubbing his dick against your ass for way too much but can you blame him? He was asleep, you tried moving a little but there was no space, you just gave up and tried to sleep again, his arm tightened around your waist as you feel his hard cock against your ass, you were ready to get fucked at this point, you tried to calm down take your breath and relax , with his warm breath against your neck , his cock against your ass, his arm around your waist, it was hard for you to not moan, trying to resist it, you feel his body move slightly, you pretended to be sleeping in case he woke up
“Y/n are you awake?” He says in a sleepy voice , he always knew you had troubles sleeping so there was no point of lying
“Yes I am awake, do you need anything?” You asked trying to keep your voice low
“No , I was making sure , if you're uncomfortable I can sleep on the ground” he says , his voice was also low , and it turned you on even more
“No no it's okay, you know I always have troubles sleeping it's okay” you say and smile you weren't sure if he saw you smiling cuz it was really dark, he nods and hugs you tightly and kisses your neck, you didn't even try to fight him, you feel his other hand cupping one of your butt cheeks. you moan slightly as our fingers runs through his hair, he keeps kissing your neck and squeezing your ass. You tease him by playing with his waistband
He grabs your hand and puts it on his erection , “this is how you make me feel everytime gosh” he whispers and kisses your neck, “well, can I help you get rid of your problem?” You can hear him chuckle
“Oh I'd love to.” He sits straight and unbutton his pants and removes it , you help him get rid of his pants and boxers, his dick was screaming, hard and leaking pre-cum. You put the tip in your mouth, hearing him groan and curse under his breaths
“Aah fuck , you're so good at that god” he says thrusting his hips and moan , trying to keep it low so no one can hear them, you keep sucking him off and he moans , his moans were like music to your ears , it sounded amazing like a melody , time passes and you're still in the same position sucking him off , you can hear the door open, you froze in your place as you hear footsteps in the room
“What are you two doing at this late hour?” Yuta asks shotaro
“We were just having fun yuta oh my god” shotaro says and shrugs
“Keep going y/n , who knows you can suck him off next” shotaro says and yuta chuckles
“You're really shameless” yuta says and rolls his eyes, you close your eyes tightly due the embarrassment, you can feel your face heating and getting red , you wanted to hide anytime soon
“It looks like she's good at what she's doing” yuta says and laugh
“Oh hell yeah she is , she knows how to use her mouth properly, you gotta try it yourself” shotaro says , his voice was shaky and weak due to the pleasure
“Oh , now I'm interested” yuta says, his voice is low and deeper , you keep sucking shotaro’s dick until you feel warm liquid in your mouth, you can hear him groan as he pulls his dick out of your mouth, you swallow all the cum in your mouth, you feel your hair being pulled , you guess it was yuta , he settles you between his legs, he has already removed his pants, he taps the tip Infront of your lips waiting for you to open your mouth, as you open your mouth you feel his dick in your mouth, “ you knew you can't resist now , you mom told you to wait for the right person but who listens to their moms anyway? , you start bobbing your head up and down in a slight and slow motion , you can hear him groan and moan slightly
“Fuck it , you're too good, damn you were right” yuta says in a low voice , you can hear shotaro chuckle as you suck his brother's dick , you keep sucking yuta off , he throws his head back and moans , his voice was smooth and low , it kept going like that for few minutes until you felt him come in your mouth , you pull his dick out of your mouth and lay on the floor, you felt tired and sleepy
“Not right now, babe,we still have all night long” yuta says , shotaro helps you get off the floor and makes you lay on the bed instead , he gets on the bed next to you and starts tracing kisses on neck and chest while yuta settles between your legs after removing your pants and underwear, you can feel his half-hard dick right against your entrance ,until you felt him inside you , biting your lower lips trying to hold the argue to moan, while shotaro is busy sucking one of your nipples while squeezing the other one between his thumb and index as his older brother keeps fucking you and curses under his breath.
“That shit feels good fuck” yuta says , his voice was a little shaky
“You're just a fucking toy” you couldn't even answer cause you know you won't shut your mouth after that
“Aren't you just a cock sleeve , stupid bitch” you just nod as he thrust deeper inside you, shotaro sucking your nipple didn't make the situation better , you felt like you reached your climax and close your eyes as you feel your release
“Fuck baby you made a mess” yuta whispers as he grinds faster and takes a bit of your cum with his fingers and taste you then kisses you making you taste the salty taste of your orgasm, he finally feels the urge to cum as you feel his warm seeds inside you and shotaro finally let go of your nipples, you felt exhausted but they had other plans, shotaro and yuta switchs places , shotaro settles between your legs while yuta starts kissing your lips hungrliy while shotaro enters his dick inside you, you moan inside yuta's mouth, while shotaro groans slightly as he moves slowly, he was the opposite of his brother, slow and gentle while yuta was fast and rough but you enjoyed both anyways ,as shotaro starts thrusting faster and yuta cups your breasts and pinch your nipples between his fingers , shotaro's hair falls on his face and sticks to his forehead due to the sweat, he thrusts his hips against yours , your moans were starting to get loud until yuta wraps his hands around your neck making you choke while shotaro thrusts faster now ,tears filling your eyes , vision blurry, you can't even think properly, and all you're hearing is the sound of shotaro's body slamming against yours , you feel like you reached your climax finally, your eyes roll bsck as you release all your juice , he pulls out of you and your pussy clench around nothing, while shotaro comes all on your stomach, yuta's lips captures yours as he let go of your neck , you close your eyes and breath heavily, you felt yourself passing out. You wake in clean clothes next to shotaro, his arms were wrapped around you holding you close to him, his face buried in your neck

How old's everyone by the time canon bleach rolls around?
Well that's an interesting question that I have devoted way too much thought to.
Most people in soul society age at the normal pace of one year per year, so they only have One Age, but even a tiny excess of spiritual energy can make some age much slower, and in Seireitei, which is full of Spiritually Potent People, most people have two ages- Calendar and Living Age. Calendar is how many years someone has existed, Living is approximately what developmental age they're at. Most Shinigami age at about one year for every 2-5 Lived, with average "died of natural causes and not in the line of duty" lifespans coming to 200-400 years. Power Level has a HEAVY Inverse correlation to aging, but once you hit the power levels associated with Seated officers and captains, things get Weird. Also fatal. Very few captains have died of Natural Causes.
But re: Everyone's ages in June 2000, when the series starts under the cut:
Karakura Gang:
The Kids are not dead yet, so not Subject to the extended lifepsans yet, but I did age everyone up a bit- Ichigo and his Human Friends are all Juniors in High school- age 17... ish.
Ichigo's 18th birthday occurs a couple weeks after he meets Rukia. He was held back from starting Kindergarten for a year because he was too short to reach the drinking fountains.
Chad was tall and his parents were both working full time so his mom persuaded his school to let him in early, so Chad only had his 17th birthday the month before he meets Rukia.
Kon: CA: 132 (9 years in his body) LA: 3, but in cat years, so really more like 22 in human years. An grad student in charge of a pack of teenagers.
Rukia: A Member of the Karakura Gang by association (i.e. my staging notes), Rukia is CA: 73 and LA: 20. She and Renji entered the academy when they were CA:25 and LA: 16. Like many high-powered shinigami, her rate of aging is slowing as she accumulates power, so she will likely live to see at least 500 (unless something happens)
Renji: See: Rukia. Rukia is eight months older than Renji and NEVER lets him forget it.
Kisuke Urahara: CA: 328 LA: 32.4545454545- Urahara is aging at one year for every 11 lived which pleases him because at least once a century his ages will line up and he'll have a straight shot of numbers and that's CLEARLY an excuse to have a MEGA birthday party and give him extra presents! He'll be 333 AND 33 in 2005, so Ichigo should start planning his surprise party!
Yoruichi Shihoin: CA: 329 LA: 28 Yoruichi is 365 days older than Kisuke (He was born in 1672) a leap year) and NEVER lets him forget it.
Isshin Shiba: CA: UUUH- LA: UUUUUUUH- Isshin Shiba was born to the Shiba Clan in 1846, was 154 when he vanished in 1980, appears to be in his mid-forties now, and can only actually REMEMBER the last 20 years of his life with any Clarity. The battle with White left his soul so damaged that when he fused with Masaki, he lost all his spiritual powers and forgot damn near everything- he remembers his given name, the name and face of Kaien Shiba but not how he knows him, that shinigami and hollows exist... but when he overheard Ryuken Ishida lying to the hospital staff that this was his friend from medical school who had been in a terrible car accident, he believed him, and assumed he WAS a doctor that had been in a terrible accident. Masaki was just as frightened of the Shinigami coming after the Quincy. While she could keep her relatives at bay, she couldn't fool the shinigami, so she asked the others to make sure Isshin never tried to return to spirit world... and they went along with it. As far as Isshin knows, Urahara was a guy he worked for as a teenager who helped him set up shop as a doctor after the accident. Yoruichi really is someone he used to be on the intramural volleyball team with back in college. Shinji is some guy who knew his parents, and decided to stay a friend of the family even after after they died in the accident. He and Masaki were married in a beautiful ceremony some weeks ago... Shame they lost all the pictures... Ichigo's promotion to Substitute Shinigami and the confrontation about "You used to be a CAPTAIN?? Why didn't you warn me and the twins about anything???" is one HELL of a shock for him.
Soul Society:
Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto: CA: 2,146 LA: 75 He was enjoying a Long Prime Middle Age until his Divorce in 1196, at which point he went bald, went gray and lost a significant amount of his muscle mass in under a decade, and has looked like an Old Man since.
Chojiro Sasakibe: CA: 1,358 LA: 66 (debated). Chojiro was barely 100 years old when he turned up at Yamamoto's Post Officer Self-Defense Dojo and refused to leave. His Lived Age is a secret known only to Unohana- the debate rages because Sasakibe was born with his Silver Fox hair, and with that removed, shows very little signs of aging. He insists he "-Just keep myself very well." and refuses to elaborate. He has a standing agreement with the SWA that his LA over various years may be revealed after he dies, so they may let people lay bets, on the condition that they give him a percentage when laid to support his Black Tea Habit.
---
Soi Fon: CA: 201 LA: 29 Soi Fon has genetically terrific skin and if her mother is any indication, she'll look like a twentysomething until she hits menopause. THEN she'll look like a Silver Fox.
Marechiyo Omaeda: CA: 102 LA: 24 Omaeda has only been Lieutenant for 14 years, taking over the position early after his father (the previous 2nd Division lieutenant) had an extremely unexpected stroke. He's recovering well, but doesn't want to return because he's so proud of Marechiyo.
---
Ichimaru Gin: CA:DEBATABLE, but at least 357 LA: 21 Gin has several days that *could* count as his "Birthday" but he's existed in his current body for as long as Rangiku has known him.
Rojuro "Rose" Otoribashi: CA: 312 LA: 37 Rose was promoted to captain a bare 2 years ago when TBTP happens, and is considered Young for a captain. In terms of Living Age, he's one of the oldest Visored.
Izuru Kira: CA: 89 LA: 23 He was a bit older than Rukia and Renji in CA and LA when he entered the Academy. He could have entered sooner but he was the sole caregiver for both his parents, who died premature deaths of chronic illnesses.
---
Retsu Unohana: CA: 804 LA: "As old as my tongue and a little older than my teeth." According to the official records, Retsu Unohana enrolled in Shin'o Academy in 1198, and when asked her age, said "I became as I am last year" Which the intake officer interpreted to mean that she died and appeared as an adult in Spirit World in 1197, and she has absolutely failed to correct that misconception. Or update the public records regarding her age.
Yachiru Unohana: CA 1,497 LA: 37 To her credit, Unohana DID die when she was 17 and appeared in the afterlife at the age she died at. Then she barely aged by the time Yamamoto recruited her in 998. She served as Kenpachi of the 11th Divisison for 199 years, until her battle with an as-yet-unnamed young man in 1197. Shortly after her 200th year as Kenpachi passed, she came to terms with the fact she was no longer the fighter she was, and fell in battle to her lieutenant. With that, "Yachiru" Unohana died, and the following day she enrolled in the academy under the name Retsu to study medicine.
Isane Koetetsu: CA: 282 LA: 28 Isane and her sister Kiyone are unusual for Shinigami in that the Koetesu clan has some of the slowest-aging shinigami in it, and the slowed aging STARTS as infants. Isane couldn't even enroll in Shin'o Academy until her 100th birthday, and even then she needed special dispensation to let what was functionally a 10-year old take college classes.
Hanataro Yamada: CA: 141 LA: 23 Hanataro is the younger brother of Former 4th div Lieutenant Seinosuke Yamada, who now runs the Seireitei Medical Center i.e. The Rich Bitch Hospital. Hanataro entered the academy at a very young age like Isane and graduated with honors, but people tend to compare him to his more accomplished older brother, which both of them think is Unfair seeing as Seinosuke is a whole 112 years older than him. Hanatarou started in the 4th division at the tender age of 42/14, and some of the other medics decided to prank the lieutenant's baby brother by sending him to do the initial medical checkup of newly-appointed 11th division captain Zaraki. When he failed to return for six hours, Seinosuke went into a panicked rage and ran to the 11th, ready to make Zaraki the shortest-serving captain ever if need be, only to discover Hanataro patiently vaccinating and enthusiastic Zaraki for EVERYTHING, a process that was taking a while because Zaraki's spiritual pressure kept breaking the needles. Hanataro has been the 11th Division Pocket Medic ever since, to the detriment of Seinosuke's blood pressure. Zaraki encouraged his interest in Toxicology by bringing him dozens of venomous snakes to milk while on field expeditions, also much to the detriment of Seinosuke's blood pressure.
---
Sosuke Aizen: CA: 432 LA: 47 Aizen was born an identical twin, but was the only brother to inherit any spiritual powers. The boy's mother was caught and killed by an enraged shopkeep stealing food to feed a half-starving Sosuke when they were young children. The boys managed to get jobs in another city working at a candy store, and did so well that the owner left the store to them when he retired. Sosuke's marketing talents and Sosato's culinary skills made "My Brother's Candy" a wild success, and soon they were opening franchise stores, and became popular minor celebrities in their district. Sosuke even married and had children- and grand children, and was an active member of his district government and merchants council, personally opening up several schools and water treatment facilities. Then, shortly after he and Sosato celebrated their 88th birthday, tragedy struck. There was a massive flood that lead to a massive crop failure that lead to a massive disease outbreak, which lead to major political upheaval, which lead to Sosuke and his brother having to flee their home. Unfortunately, Sosato dearly loved his brother, and when the hail of arrows came down on them from the soldiers pursing the civilians, Sosato decided that he was near the end of his life anyway, while Sosuke- still functionally in his 20's- had so much to live for, and put himself between his brother and the onslaught. And so Sosuke Aizen went from Revered Councilor, Celebrated Candymaker, beloved Great-grandfather and Twin to an Exile and the sole survivor of his name. He joined the Shinigami, determined to make the Soul Society a better place where what happened to him would never happen again- only to discover that he was at the mercy of a corrupt and incompetent government, and worse, an apparently uncaring God. Until one night when he had a dream- all the pieces of his study of Kido came together and he realized there WAS a way to fix all this- He just had to become God. With that, Gin slithered away into the night and deep into the far districts, so he could assume a human form and forge an identity Aizen wouldn't question when they met back up again.
Shinji Hirako: CA: 412 LA: 31 Shinji genuinely thought he could get away with impersonating a high schooler to spy on Ichigo- after all, he still looked like he was what, 22? With the right clothes and some recent slang- "Why is there some creepy old guy wearing the school uniform?" Ichigo asks his friends the second he sees Shinji. "He looks like some kind of weird hipster who's trying to relive his youth." Sighs Mizurio. "-Or a really deluded pervert who thinks he can sneak into the locker room." says Tatsuki, cracking her knuckles. "He doesn't look THAT old-" Keigo protests, and there is the briefest glimmer of hope for Shinji's Ego. "-Maybe he's some kind of super-senior who got held back a bunch because he's dumb as a brick." Shinji crumples to the ground, defeated by the direct hits to his insecurities.
Hinamori Momo: CA: 66 LA: 26 Momo has an extreme case of babyface but is secretly ripped under her uniform and well on her way to MILFdom from the waist down. The first time Hiyori sees her in shorts is a psychological and spiritual awakening.
Hiyori Sarugaki: CA: 126 LA: 20 Hiyori is the youngest Living Age and slowest-aging visored. She gets mad about her youthful appearance but also uses it to get children's discounts at theme parks.
---
Byakuya Kuchiki: CA: 181 LA: 26 Byakuya was married quite young, and Widowed soon after. He's still in his prime, and exceptionally hale for a Kuchiki- Despite the exceptional spiritual power of the clan, the centuries of inbreeding have given them severe health issues and very short lifespans for their power. Byakuya's grandfather Ginrei only lived to 486, and his father Sojun died at 200 from Hemophillia. Byakuya is still working up the nerve to tell Rukia that she will likely outlive him by a considerable margin, and the fact that Rukia hasn't got a nibling to spoil was His medical problem, not Hisana's.
---
Sajin Komamura: CA: 712 LA: 22 Komamura is somehow both Older AND Younger than everyone thinks he is, and that's not even getting into the "Wait, is that in human years or wolf years?" Debacle. When Yamamoto met Sajin for the first time in the 1400's he was extremely impressed with the giant warriors skill and courage, and before Sajin had a chance to greet him properly, asked the warrior to join his Academy. "I- I'm really old but I'm actually eight." came the voice of a small boy from behind the helmet and Yamamoto had to go stand with his face pressed into the wall for a minute.
Love Aikawa: CA:345 LA:33 Love Aikawa is one of the few shinigami who came into his spiritual powers so fast that he did NOT have a creer before becoming a Shinigami.
Tetsuzaemon Iba: CA: 154 LA: 30 Testsuzaemon was still a small boy when Komamura was appointed to the third seat of the first division, and got to know his mother Chikane Iba. Chikane worked extremely hard, but held Yamamoto in high regard, and Komamura in similar regard by extension. So now Tetsuzaemon is lieutenant to a man he still secretly thinks of as his "Favorite Babysitter".
---
Shunsui Kyoraku: CA: 856 LA: 48 Shunsui was forced to join the academy before his 100th birthday by his noble family because they had not actually planned on actually having a third son survive to adulthood and didn't really know what to do with him. Both Shunsui and Ukitake are old enough to remember when Unohana was still Yachiru, and Shut The Fuck Up about that fact.
Nanao Ise: CA: 141 LA: 28 When she first arrives in Seireitei, Yachiru Kusajishi is LA Eight, and quickly makes friends with Nanao, who is the other little girl close to her age with spiritual powers: "You're my baby sister now, but you'll be my Big sister sooner than later." Yachiru explained. "What do you mean?" Nanao blinked at her. "You're what, Living Age Seven, right?" Yachiru asked, squinting at her. "Yeah, but I'm really Forty-One!" Nanao insisted. It bothered her when people refused to take her seriously because of her age. "Right. I'm like Living Age Eight, so I'm your big sister. But I'm actually Four hundred and six." "…What?" Nanao gaped. "but, but that means you must be aging at…" She frowned, trying to do long division in her head. "-I age about one year for every fifty lived, yeah." "You- oh god." Nanao realized. "You outlive everyone you know." "Not everyone! Ken-chan and I are both aging at the same pace." Yachiru explained, wobbling a bit as she walked the log over the creek. "I guess I'm lucky- there aren't that many of us who age this slow so most of us don't have anybody who's really a 'life-long' companion, and I might be only one with a parent that's got a similar lifespan!" She grinned. "I age at about one for five, so in- ...in less than ten years I'll be older than you." Nanao hummed with concern. "Yep! But until then, you have to do everything your Big Sister says!" Yachiru grinned.
Lisa Yadomaru: CA: 427 LA: 36 Even though they're not REMOTELY related, Lisa bonded very strongly to Nanao when she was Shunsui's lieutenant. This causes some dispute with Yachiru when she returns to Soul Society because according to yachiru, Nanao is her Little Big Sister, owing to the difference in CA, to therefore Lisa is her Big-Big Little Sister, and Lisa thinks she doesn't have to support Yachiru's Candy Habit.
---
Kaname Tousen: Calendar age: 499 LA: 32 After the events of the Winter War, during which Kaname turned 500, Kaname disputes that he is only 350, because he spent the last 150 years under Aizen's Curse and "-You call that living?" Everyone (except Sajin) regularly forgets when Kaname's birthday is because he doesn't celebrate it- it was also his sister Kakiyo's birthday and he hasn't really felt like 'celebrating' since she was murdered, and Ichigo is the first person to REALLY understand his feelings on the matter, his own mother dyind so close to his birthday and how visiting her Memorial wasn't exactly a celebration, but it wasn't exactly mourning either.
Shuuhei Hisagi: CA:119 LA: 27 Renji entered the Academy the year Shuuhei was due to Graduate and still thinks of Shuuhei as his "Senpai". Shuuhei entered the academy the same year Rangiku was due to graduate, and still thinks of her as his "Senpai". Renji once called Rangiku his "Grand-Senpai" She and Shuuhei both beat him with shoes about it.
Kensei Muguruma: CA:469 LA: 29 Kensei supports Kaname's declaration that he's only 350 because finding out Kaname is older than him brings up all the insecurities Kensei developed from being the MUCH younger brother to five sisters, and he can't handle being "The Baby" again.
Mashiro Kuna: CA: 506 LA: 25 It took 47 rounds of Janken with Yachiru for Mashiro to finally be the first to get to three victories and declare herself The Biggest Sister. She also saw Kensei's meltdown about Kaname being older than him and is quietly holding onto the fact she's older than both of them until the moment it will cause her beloved captain the maximum amount of Psychological Damage.
---
Rangiku Matsumoto: CA: 357 LA: 29 Rangiku measures her Calendar Age from the date she appeared in Soul Society at age 14, which is an accepted practice, but sometimes people want to add their years in the living world as well. Rangiku supports Kaname's claim to be 350 because they let HER knock 14 years off her CA for an even more arbitrary reason, and also it means she doesn't have to get him a belated 500th Birthday gift for another 150 years.
Toshiro Hitsugaya: CA: 60 LA: 12 Hitsugaya is FAR AND AWAY the youngest Shinigami to achieve a seated officer's position by any age, and this was 100% done as a political maneuver by Yamamoto. Hitsugaya is no Slouch- he graduated salutatorian of his class and is the youngest person ever to achieve Bankai, but Yamamoto slapped him into the lieutenant's position 20 years ago (Hitsugaya graduated within weeks of Isshin Shiba's Disappearance) SPECIFICALLY to put Rangiku between him and any unscrupulous noble houses looking to forcibly adopt him/marry him to a spare heir/straight-up kidnap Hitsugaya to prop up their failing genetic lines. One of the clans tried it anyway and the resulting smoking crater where the clan compound used to be put the fear of Haineko into everyone and has so far discouraged further attempts.
---
Kenpachi Zaraki: CA: 1,477* LA: 42 Like Gin, Zaraki has several dates that could count as the start of his existence, but when asked how old he was at the first moon-viewing party he went to- "...How d'ya guys measure that?" Zaraki asked, studying Shunsui with his good eye in a way that made the hair on the back of his neck prickle. "Uh- well, for most people, it's when you were Born in Soul Society, but if you died and appeared here it's the day you first existed in Soul Society." he explained, feeling like he was missing an important dimension to the question. "Oh! In that case I'm- wait, shit. What day is it today?" "It's November 18th." Unohana smiled. "Ah, fuck! With all the chaos I forgot-!" Zaraki laughed. "Turned 1,377 last Monday." The assembled Shinigami all stared blanky, save for Unohana, who appeared to be trying to not laugh into her cup. "I'm sorry, I'm not sure I heard that correctly..?" Jushiro asked, entirely sure he had. "One Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Seven." Zaraki repeated slowly, grin cracking across his face. "-Can't say I've done as good a job lookin' after myself as Sasakibe here though." "I- good heavens! The only person you're younger than is Yamamoto himself!" Aizen exclaimed, eyes wide behind his glasses. Zaraki frowned at that for a moment and then nodded. "...If you say so." Unohana made a small snuffling noise as she tried to not snort sake up her nose laughing. "How old are YOU, Mr. Glasses?" Yachiru asked. "Hm? Oh, I'm 332! And how old are y-" Aizen began to reply before he was interrupted by Yachiru jabbing her finger into the tip of his nose, cackling. "HAH! you're seventy- uh- seventy four years younger than me! You're a little baby man!" She clapped her hands with glee. "Unohana-sama? Are you alright?" Ukitake asked as the chief medic coughed suddenly. "I'm having a great time!" She wheezed, eyes watering from accidentally inhaling her drink.
Yachiru Kusajishi: CA: 506 LA: 10 Yachiru was Very Loved by her parents. Zaraki tells her this. When he found her, he found her in an otherwise abandoned house, with her parents, who had obviously died protecting her from the late-winter cold snap. She was still in her mother and father's arms when he came to investigate her cries. Her parents were wearing kimono that had the bottom third cut off, just above their knees, even though it was the middle of winter. She was wearing a double-layered baby Kimono made of the fabric they had cut off, to make sure she stayed warm. He took her into the nearest village, in hopes someone there could nurse her and tell him what her name was. She was lucky- there was a woman nursing her own daughter who agreed to take on her as well. But the Village elder hung his head in shame- he knew the couple the vagrant described- they lived far up the mountain, and only went by the name "Kusajishi", the name of the district, as was the style of many poor and illiterate farmers. They only came down from their farm once or twice a year to sell the special herbs they grew up there- the elder had seen the woman pregnant, but they had not come down to tell him the girl's name for the village records. So that day, the vagrant became Kenpachi Zaraki, and gave to her the name Yachiru as any parent should name their child, and the name Kusajishi, after the parents that loved her so. She only ever calls her adopted father Ken-chan, and is the only person who is allowed to call him that, because a parent should be called something special by their child. In deference to her parent's sacrifice, she does not call him "father". That was another man, who died for her. Zaraki does not lie to Yachiru, ever. Everything he told her about how they met is true. He has omitted one detail from the story, however. Her parents died from the cold snap because they had to be at least eighty, and not blessed with spiritual power like her. She had outlived her parents as an infant. And after speaking to the village elder about how, to his shame, he'd never managed to ask the little girl's name, even since he was a little boy, and failed to send anyone up there to check on the family, The vagrant with no name sat near the fire in the village hall, holding the little girl with no name. He thought about how terribly lonely it was, to not have a name. and how lucky he was that he had a mother who also had an extremely long lifespan that was able to live through raising him, and that he could still visit and speak to. and how unlucky this little girl was, that she did not. "How d'ya get a name?" the vagrant asked the village elder. "Well, here you just tell me what your name is, and I write it down in the village records." the elder said, watching him with curiosity. "...if I tell you a name, will you show me how to write it?" He asked, voice barely above a whisper. "Of course." The elder nodded. The vagrant was silent for a while. "Then her name is Yachiru Kusajishi." Said the vagrant. "...And yours?" The elder asked, picking up the record book and inkstone. "Mine?" the vagrant asked. "You're giving her a name because she hasn't got anyone else to do it, aren't you?" The elder asked, gaze steady. "If you name something, it's your responsibility forever, and you're going to have to be responsible for yourself if you're going to be responsible for her." The Vagrant considered this for a while. "My name-" he started and stopped, throat clicking like he was literally choking on the words. "-My name for her is Kenpachi Zaraki."

Mayuri Kurotsuichi: CA: 132 LA: 267 Mayuri is the only shinigami aging faster than the expected rate. This is because he escaped from Hell, and Hell would very much like to get his ass back there ASAP.
Nemuri Kurotsuichi: CA: 20 LA: 20 Nemu has been twenty for twenty years now, ever since she was pulled from the goo of her incubation tube by her father Mayuri, and will be 20 for the foreseeable future. The static lack of aging is something Mayuri hopes to fix in future drafts- Nemu is the seventh Nemuri, and the most successful one so far- She's the second Nemuri to actually make it out of her incubation tube, and the first to survive more than a year, but Nemuri Hachigo is already developing in the basement of the 12th in case something happens to her. The knowledge of her 'Little Sister' is something that brings Nemu comfort, like already knowing what you're going to be reincarnated as. "That's really fucked up." Says Uryuu Ishida in the rubble of Las Noches as she puts his intestines back inside his thorax where they belong. He's on a lot of drugs he'd like to know less about. "-It's also kind of cute. In a away. but really fucked up."
Kirio Hikifune: CA: 617 LA: 35 Kirio is one of a handful of people in on Unohana's double identity, but would NEVER betray her beloved Senpai's personal information! She served under Unohana in the fourth and developed her flesh-to-food technique with Unohana's help.
Tama Nikuya: CA: 1,477 LA: 26 Despite being the same age as Zaraki and Unohana and was aging at the same slow rate, the process that turned her into a Puca also caused her to go into bio-hell-fuckery that has effectively stopped her from aging at all. Or rather, she IS aging but every time she dies, she reappears as the LA age she was when she underwent The Flesh Change. She says the process is not infinite- she WILL eventually run out of spare lives, and if she manages to live long enough to die of old age in this body, she will NOT respawn at all. Also- it HURTS! She does die, which hurts, and comes back, which hurts EVEN MORE, and each time she comes back, she's confronted with the prospect of either outling all her friends or putting them through a similar hell to stay together. All in all, DO NOT ATTEMPT. I am speaking to you specifically, Kisuke. Akon Akon: CA: 119 LA: 27 Akon only has the one name but the archives don't like that so he uses it Twice. He was imprisoned without trial in the Maggot's nest for being part Yokai when he was a small child, and sprung to work in R&D By Mayuri shortly after Urahara's disappearence. He's friends with Yachiru and Nanao because there weren't hat many kids in the social circles of the Gotei-13's upper ranks, and all three of them shared a mutual interest in the Dinosaurs that were being discovered at the time. He's friends with Shuuhei because he was forced to take Remedial "if you work in the 12th instead of just R&D you need to actually know how to be a shinigami" classes the same year Shuuhei was accepted to the academy and they were dorm mates. Akon intermittendly draws weird one-panel cartoons for the Seireitei bulletin under a pen name, often about strange scientific jokes and on one notable occasion, bovine anthropological artifacts.
---
Jushiro Ukitake: CA: 857 LA: 44 Ukitake is genuinely unsure if, when or HOW he will die, given that he is host to a Divine Being. Once that particular cat is out of the bag, it gives him something to commiserate about with Tama. Already, Shunsui is starting to outpace his age- is he doomed to bury his friend? or will circumstance force Mimihagi to consume him entirely? Mimihagi is sympathetic- the Left Hand of God is also not sure what this fusion entails for him- it's possible that if Jushiro dies by any other means besides Mimihagi consuming him, that Mimihagi will die with him, and neither is sure what kind of impact that might have on the universe at large. Still, if it weren't for Mimihagi's intervention, Jushiro wouldn't have this time at all, and Mimihagi will never have had these experiences, so neither regrets the choice they made, regardless of how it ends.
Hachigen Ushoda: CA: 278 LA: 32. Hachigen is appearing under the 13th Division because the Kido Corps got absorbed into the 13th while he was away. Hachi consistently fools people into thinking he's way older than he actually is because he has to tailor-make all his clothes for his massive frame, so why NOT go all the way and make something Special for all this effort?
...this post is already three miles long, I'll do the Arrancar and Quincy next.

I never thought my life was anything but ordinary. Never did I ever think it was weird that most of my birthday parties were mostly full of adults, nor did I question why unless I was at a tea party organized by one of my mother’s friends my friends were mostly my stuff animals
It was what I had always known as a child. Even as a teenager my world were only my parents, my teacher, my nanny, and the staff that constantly followed me around.
What I never got used to? The flashes.
I roll my eyes and turn off the TV abruptly, throwing myself backwards in my king bed. Another day, another news reporter judging my image. Tale as old as time.
Grabbing the nearest pillow, I cover my face and scream.
“Miss,” a knock on the door makes me stop self- pitying, “your breakfast is served”
Inhaling, I stand up and grab my phone from my nightstand before leaving my bedroom. Outside stood Yuki Tsukumo, father’s trusting secretary that has also worked as a bridge for us whenever we are president and first daughter instead of father and daughter.
“Not ready for the day yet?”
“It’s 5:26 in the morning” I smile softly, “I’m just in time for breakfast from 5:30 to 5:50, digesting from 5:50 to 6:00, running from 6:00 to 6:30, and then showering before the real schedule begins”
“That’s my girl” smiles Yuki.
As soon as we arrive at the dining room I sit down besides my father, whose already reading through the notes sent to his iPad. My mother at his other side is reviewing her schedule for the day.
Another normal day for the Y/L/N family.
“Good morning, mom, dad”
“Morning pumpkin” smiles my father, turning off his iPad, “Ready for today?”
I nod smiling before taking a bite of the waffle in front of me. What was in schedule for today anyways?
My mom laughs softly before snapping her fingers, which makes Yuki leave my own iPad beside my plate of food. Schedule for the day already opened.
Fitting at 7:30: Alexander McQueen
Family interview at 9:00
Father’s speech at 10:00
Lunch with the vice president’s family at 12:00…
A sigh escaped my lips as I keep on reading the never ending list of things to do for the day. Most of which consisted of me smiling perfectly for pictures without moving a muscle, or speaking for the matter.
No surprise there. This had been my life the last four years and even before that, it had been all I’ve known.
The price to pay for having parents in politics.
“Do we really have to have lunch with the Zenin’s?” You groan.
Your father sighs, “They may not be the best company, but the matriarch is the best vice president I could’ve wished for. So, yes, we have to”
Your father was right and you knew that. Mrs. Zenin was probably the only good thing of that family that had only been known for corruption. She turned it all around, she even went against their sexist claims and became the matriarch.
She was someone to look up to. Her son though? Not so much. He was 100% his father, maybe only getting his mother’s looks.
“It’s the time for appearances, honey” your mother reminds you, “Reelections are soon. Once that’s over things will go back to normal”
Normal, you sigh.
Normal means new schedules to be followed to build your image. Normal means attending different events and parties according to convenience.
Normal means not normal at all.
“Miss Y/L/N” Yuki calls.
You turn to ask hear her only to see her pointing at her watch. You look at your iPad to see the time.
5:46 a.m.
You curse in your head realizing you had only four minutes to finish your still full plate of food, that if you wanted to stay on time. Which you had to.
Sighing, you clean your mouth before excusing yourself from the table.
Just four more days, you remind yourself, four more days and your new life starts. With that thought a smile graces your features and you run upstairs to start the rest of your day.
⛊ ☼ ⛉ ☼ ⛊ ☼ ⛉ ☼ ⛊
You sighed for the millionth time as you say on your bed, ordered to sit still and watch as your staff packed your belongings. One of the fantasies you had when imagining the start of your normal life was packing by yourself.
I guess that was too greedy of you.
A knock on your door snaps you out of your boredom, your father soon entering making a smile grow on your face.
“Dad!”
You run towards your father and hug him, feeling a warm envelop your chest as you feel him kiss the top of your head.
“Ready for the big day?”
“Oh, God, please don’t” you groan, “I’m starting at Magus Pugnate University tomorrow like a normal girl. Which means no grand parade!”
Your father sighs, “Do you know your mom, honey? Impossible. It’s go big or go home”
You groan out loud making your father laugh and his hold on you tighten.
“I swear I’ll scream if they play ‘Hail to the Chief’, dad” he laughs.
“Come on, let’s go” he starts guiding me to the Oval Office, “Tomorrow is a big day. Law school isn’t easy, munchkin”
“I’m ready” you assure him.
He smile, proud, “I know”
“There you are! Finally”
You both turn with guilty looks towards your mother, in her all First Lady glory, as she glares at you both.
“We don’t have all day, i thought you knew that already” she shakes her head, “Yuki start with the itinerary”
Yuki nods, smiling softly towards you before starting to list the absolutely ridiculous schedule that you had ahead of you—flying on Air Force 1, driving up to Magus Pugnate University where a parade would lead all of you to a quad for a press conference, and then, dropping you off in your university’s private dorm suite after securing it.
You were slightly annoyed as you listened. You dreamt of getting on a commercial flight and driving yourself to university where you’d settle in your dorm with a roommate as normal people do.
But you weren’t normal, and lately that was a really tough pill to swallow.
“They won't ask you about policy. They'll probably ask you about…” you zone out, “…Yaga will accompany you there to make sure everything is secured before leaving you with Sukuna, Higuruma, Nanami and Nitta with you at all times”
“W-wait, what?” You stuttered, “Not only is the Head of Security going but also the four of them? With me? And what you mean at all times? You mean the four of them?”
Your father nods, “Of course, as usual”
“Usual is me going out to events or public spaces” you continue, “I’m going to university, a private one even. A university that is very strict on who they accept. Why do I need that many security?”
“Because you’re my daughter”
That sentence is meat to make you understand. That sentence is enough for him to consider the conversation over and continue with the next subject.
The heavy weight that being the First Daughter carries is one that makes you shake under it, hoping soon you’ll crumble.
Inhale, exhale, you remind yourself.
You’re going to university. For the first time in forever you’re doing something you want. Take it a step at a time.
That night, you tiptoe all through the White House until you make it to the main kitchen. There you open the fridge and get out the Blueberry Cheesecake the Head Chef had made. With no hesitation you grab two plates, cut two pieces and serve them, before grabbing two forks.
Grabbing one of the cakes, you start eating. Moaning in delight at the flavor.
“Ugh, I lost?” You hear your father groan behind you.
“Not blaming you, mom is hard to trick”
“She’d have my head for sure if she saw us right now” he grabs his own cake and takes a bite, “totally worth it though”
“Who would’ve thought Mr. President’s weakness would be Blueberry Cheesecake?” You gasp with humor, “Have I uncovered one of the country’s top secrets?!”
You father laughs with a roll of his eyes, taking another bite off his cake.
“Excited for tomorrow?”
You nod while eating, “I really hope it all goes well”
“Why wouldn’t it?”
You play around with the piece of cheesecake you had cut, debating whether you should voice your feelings or not.
“It’s just… I’m the First Daughter, you know?” You sigh, “Loved by many, hated by many more. Hard to approach, yet never ignored. I’m anxious to see how that’ll work out at university”
“You’ll be fine”
“I know… I hope” you sigh again, “I just really want it to be fun. I want to make friend who like me for me. I want to go out, maybe drink—”
“Excuse me?!”
You laugh, “Kidding. I just want to feel like a teenager for once”
“You will, sweetheart” he kisses the top of your head lovingly, hugging you from your side, “I promise you will”
You wanted to believe he was right. You hoped he was.
⛊ ☼ ⛉ ☼ ⛊ ☼ ⛉ ☼ ⛊
“So, remember, you're just like any other American family. Whose daughter is heading off to college” you repeat again inside the limo, “Remember, today you're not just the First Lady, but you're also a mom”
Your mom frowns slightly, “I'd like to think I'm both women every day”
You sigh, “In short, you're just a proud dad. Like every other dad…watching his little girl head off to University in another state”
Your father groans, “Ugh, don’t remind me. Why did you have to choose somewhere so far away?”
“The distance did influence my decision” you accept, “But MPU is the University for law”
Your father opens his mouth to possibly fight your argument, but the limo stops and soon enough Hail to the Chief starts being played by the band.
“Show time” you mutter to yourself.
Soon enough you’re being blinded by flashes as questions are being screamed at your family.
“Mr. President, how do you feel about your only child going to school so far away?” One says.
“Well, I’m suggesting moving the nation’s capitol”
Your father’s joke makes all of them laugh, even bringing a sincere smile to your face.
“Y/N, will you miss the capital?” Another asks, “Better yet, what will you miss the least?”
Your practices polite smile is once again on.
“Uh, tough question” you laugh politely, “Not sure on what I would miss least, so I can’t answer that… but I can answer what I’ll miss the most: my friends and family. But I’m very excited to experience life as everybody else, and have the famous college experience I’ve read so much about”
Thankfully soon after that the interviews are over and your family is being guided to the place you’ll be staying.
“Nitta is at the end of the hall, Higuruma in the middle, and Sukuna and Nanami will stay at your door” Yuki explains.
It’s the third time she’s said it in the last ten minutes since you’ve arrived.
You roll your eyes and focus once again on looking over your private suite. It was stunning. Big enough for one person, already with all the furniture one may need (although that probably was Yuki’s doing since it was decorated just as you’d wish for).
“Shining Star on site” you hear Nanami murmur into his microphone yet decide to ignore it.
“Not to late to turn back” you mother reminds you softly.
“I love it” you smile, “I’m so excited! Have any of the neighbors arrived?”
“Who are the neighbors?” Your father asks.
“Ieiri Shoko across, Geto Suguru at the end, and Gojo Satoru across from him” Nanami answers, “Miss Ieri is a senior in Psychology, parents still together and strong supporters in the polls; Geto Suguru senior in Law, divorced parents who also are strong supporters, childhood friend with Gojo Satoru who is also a senior in Law. Widowed mother, well-known law firm soon-to-be heir. All of them have been born and raised here, went to the same high school together”
Your eyes widen at the amount of information given. You feel slightly uncomfortable at knowing so much from the people sharing floor with you when they don’t even know you’re here yet.
“Have they arrived yet?”
“All of them have already settled down and are currently eating at the cafeteria across the street” Nanami continues checking his phone, “E.T.A. is 15 minutes”
Okay, scratch slightly uncomfortable, this was an invasion of privacy! It’s illegal!
Well, it was information given to the president…
You shake your head, deciding to focus on anything other than the guilt swallowing you whole.
“Did you check your itinerary with Yuki?”
You frown, “why?”
“Well, there are just a few small functions…”, your mother starts, “your father and I thought you might enjoy attending”
“Uh… do I have a choice?” Your parents shake their head, “Great”
Yaga comes inside, signaling to your parents that it’s time to leave.
“Already?” You ask with a slight pout.
“As if you aren’t dying to see us get out of here” your father jokes.
“Well, the President and the First Lady, totally” you nod, “Mom and dad? Not at all”
With teary eyes your mom holds your hand, guiding you outside your building where the cars are waiting for them to escort them.
You were really doing this, you were really leaving your perfect life behind and achieving one of your dreams. You’d have a normal experience just like everybody else.
“Okay” you mom takes a deep breath, trying to stop her tears, “Remember, a full load of laundry dries faster than half a load. Always take the stairs. Don't sweat the petty things”
“Yes, mom”
“Your father will be here all week campaigning in case…” her voice breaks “If you need anything, anything, call Yuki”
You nod softly, “I will, mom. But I’ll be okay”
Your mom hugs you tightly, letting some tears fall as she kisses your head, then letting go. Next comes your father, who holds your face in his hands softly as he stares at you as if trying to engrave your face in his memories.
“I…”
You sigh, smiling at the way your father blinks faster than normally as he tries to stop his eyes from getting teary.
“Just say you’ll miss me, dad”
“I’ll miss you, munchkin” he hugs you tightly, “As soon as elections are over, we’ll have a father-daughter day. And I mean the 24 whole hours”
“In a row?” You ask laughing.
“It’s a promise. If you dare try to reject my offer I’ll just kidnap you, I can do that” you laugh at his words, “Be good and have fun, okay?
You nod and stay there as they get inside the limo. Drying the tears that had fallen from your eyes as you watch them go.
“Are you guys gonna at least talk to me?” You ask them once you start making your way back inside, “I mean, since you’ll be following 24/7”
Sukuna stays quiet, barely even reacting to your voice, while Nanamo gives you a small nod of acknowledgment with what appears to be a fond look.
“Maybe as a thank you for not choosing to major in something like premed”
You let out a laugh as you arrive to the floor of your studio, although your laugh fades as your eyes connect to the prettiest shade of blue you’d ever seen at the end of the hall.

There are many things in the world that Emma loves. Her parents, for one –  obviously. They spoil her endlessly, and even gave her a little brother, so she loves them.
Emma also loves trucks. She loves them simply because her dad always lifts her up to get in the thing. He even has to do a little stretch to get in himself.  Big trucks that make even her dad seem small are always fun.
Third on the list – not that it has a particular order – will have to go to the bakery near her house. Ms. Lim makes the best cupcakes known to man, and her mom loves them just as much as she does, so they like to splurge on them every once in a while.
Fourth; the quaint burger place lodged in an alleyway on that busy street Emma always forgets the name of. Every once in a while, her mom and dad take her (and her little brother, now) to the place, and she always manages to see her uncle manning the bar. She wonders if he works there.
And last, but certainly not least; her 4th grade teacher Mr. Choi. Mr. Choi never enters the room without a fond smile on his face as he greets the class in the morning. He never lets them leave without some words of praise when they leave the class in the afternoon.
Mr. Choi is very attentive, explaining things a million times over for everyone to understand (who knew there were different methods to learning how to multiply big numbers?) and is very interactive with his class. Mr. Choi is probably the kindest person Emma knows.
If someone were to come up to her and shove a microphone and a camera in her face (because people do that now) and ask her who she thought the kindest person in the world was, her first answer would definitely be Mr. Choi. That’s just how good he is.
Anyways, before the author starts her spiel on the guy, let’s get into the actual story – shall we?
The list of things that Emma loves in this world differ depending on what day you ask her. Her constants will always be her parents (and brother), trucks, Ms. Lim’s bakery, the burger place, and Mr. Choi from class 2A.
Lately though, Emma thinks that a new constant might add to her list of things she loves in this world. The thought came to her mind halfway through the previous semester.
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
At the beginning of her first semester in fourth grade, a new teacher for fifth grade arrived in bubbly fashion. With beautiful kind eyes and a charming smile; the new teacher tumbled her way into the lives of everyone at More Than Words Elementary School.
Emma was one of the people who only entertained things within her bubble. As a bubble dweller, the only things she knew dwelled in her bubble with her. She didn’t know anything about new staff or teachers unless someone entered her bubble to tell her. Which is how she found out about the new teacher in the first place.
She had many friends within the school who greeted her in the mornings, and her cousin Shelby was friends with her next door neighbor Tommy. Those two always brought her the gossip from their fifth grade circle.
They were all hanging out on the playground for recess when Shelby mentioned it to Emma. Something along the lines of the nicest teacher ever just came to their school or something. Emma excused Shelby’s comments because the elder didn’t have Mr. Choi in fourth grade.
Tommy described the woman like she hung the stars in the sky every single night for him to look at and ponder her. Shelby told him to write a book if he wanted to be that sappy. Emma laughed even if she didn’t get the reference all too well.
For the rest of that week, the new teacher was all her fifth grade friends seemed to want to talk about. She stopped listening to them halfway through. Mr. Choi was the nicest teacher ever, so she wanted to see his competition with her own two eyes.
If someone was listening to her thoughts, then they made quick plans, because the next day called for a multitude of rain and the absence of half of the students in her small school. Emma still went to school because her mom and dad had jobs to go to despite the rain, and her grandma was out of the country so no one her parents trusted could watch their kids.
She walked happily to her class, thinking of the pastries she would smell in the afternoon (as it was the day her and her mom went to the bakery) when she spotted a beautiful woman standing outside her class door talking to Mr. Choi. Her smile stretched like the sun on the horizon as it rose in the morning. A warmth like no other had hit Emma the moment she saw it.
Emma slowed her pace as she neared the classroom, and she heard the familiar words of reassurance from her teacher to the lady in front of him to ease her worries about whatever she stressed about. The kind words sounded a bit different in Emma’s ears though.
Emma greeted the adults like she was taught, and both Mr. Choi and the teacher greeted her with similar waves of kindness. The other teacher even knew her name. Why would the other teacher know her name?
Emma tilted her head in confusion and stood before the two teachers. The lady laughed and nudged Mr. Choi to get him to notice. Then, the teacher moved her left hand from the books she clung so tightly to her chest and extended it to the little girl before her.
“Hi Emma Kang, I’m the new fifth grade teacher Ms. (last name). It’s very nice to meet you!” The teacher introduced, and the shock couldn’t come fast enough as it morphed Emma’s face.
The lady before her was the kind teacher Shelby and Tommy told her about. Emma shook Ms. (last name)’s hand, feeling the familiar weight of an engagement band (her aunt Nina had just gotten engaged last month, so she knows how it feels on someone’s hand), and told the teacher that it was nice to meet her as well.
Turns out, Mr. Choi and Ms. (last name) were discussing the merge of their classrooms for the day so that they can watch movies and play games. None of the other fifth grade teachers wanted to do such things with their classes, (as it was still the beginning of the semester) but Mr. Choi thought it would be fun to let his kids relax for one day.
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
Rainy days had now meant joint classes after the success of the first one that day, and Emma realized that she hoped for rainy days a lot more, so that she can see Ms. (last name) again and again and again. This was when she thought of the possibility of a new constant on her list.
Emma thinks that Ms. (last name) felt like the sun, especially when she brightened up the classrooms. Ms. (last name) was extra involved in just about everything, and Emma found herself wanting to join a few things just to see the bubbly teacher again.
Now, you (as the reader) might be wondering where I’ll fit the synopsis into this story, and I’m getting there. Anyways, back to the story.
Emma also notices how much livelier Mr. Choi seemed to get whenever Ms. (last name) would come around their area, for rainy days or not. The two teachers seemed really close, like they were friends before working together. Well, that’s how Emma saw it. Shelby and Tommy seemed to disagree though.
The two fifth graders often talked about how they coax small bits of information out of their homeroom teacher whenever they all can’t seem to understand a particularly hard subject (which is usually math.) Ms. (last name) never got into great detail about a lot of stuff, but she always talked about her fiance with a sense of “love” and “comfort”.
Emma knew about those feelings and those words, (she’s 9 for crying out loud) but no one ever seemed to explain the concept of love to her in a way where she understood or related to it, so topics like these had her confused.  When she asked what that had to do with anything, Shelby exclaimed that she had a feeling that Mr. Choi and Ms. (last name) were a couple.
Emma sat there for a long while trying to see things from her cousin’s point of view. Sure, they were friendly and got along well, but a couple? They didn’t seem like a couple. She’s seen a few couples in her nine years on this earth, and her teachers don’t act as gross as those couples.
Besides, they both arrive in separate cars. From the couples Emma has seen, they usually arrive in the same car, do they not? Her mom and dad are almost always in the same vehicle. Aunt Nina and her fiance Sam never leave without each other at events. Uncle Darren and Aunt Lily only have one car. They drop Shelby to school in it everyday.
Tommy and Shelby bickered back and forth whilst Emma was left with the most confusing theory of her life.
Emma decided that day that there was no way Mr. Choi and Ms. (last name) were a couple. Well, that was until dinnertime, when she decided to ask the one couple she constantly has to see.
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
“Mom, dad, can people be a couple even if they don’t hug and hold hands and kiss and arrive at places in the same car?” She asked them once her food was graced and her mom told her to dig in.
Both of her parents stopped their utensils from reaching their mouths to look at their daughter, seeing her staring back at them with a curious glint in her eyes.
“Sweetie, I think we’re gonna need more context than that.” Her mom answered.
“Your mom’s right, princess. What brought this on so suddenly?” Her dad added on.
“Well, you guys know my favorite teacher Mr. Choi right?” She started off, watching her parents put down their eating utensils to give her their undivided attention.
“Yes we do, what about him?” Her dad asked.
“And you guys know the pretty teacher I told you about a while ago? Ms. (last name)?” She inquired.
“Yes we do sweetheart.” Her mom answered, picking up her son’s spoon to help him eat his rice.
“Okay, so today at recess I mentioned to Shelby and Tommy how I thought the teachers were friends before working together because of how well they seem to just – what’s the word I’m looking for?”
“Coexist?”
“No not that one … although that one is really good, thanks mom.”
“Of course!”
“Cooperate then?” Her dad chimed in, finally picking his utensil up.
“Oh yes that word! Thank you dad, you’re so smart! Anyways, yes I mentioned it to them, and then Shelby said something about how she thinks they’re a couple? So then I sat there to think about it and that doesn’t make sense? How are they a couple when they don’t kiss and hug and hold hands and go everywhere together and use the same car and have kids?” Emma rambled, getting more confused than ever as she’s explaining it to her parents.
“Maybe they don’t act that way because kids are present, princess.” Her dad supplied.
“Dad, you and mom were literally kissing in the kitchen … with me present!” Emma rebutted.
“That’s because you’re our kid. There’s a difference when it’s your own kid,” Her mom informed.
“And besides, they work together don’t they? Why act like a couple at work? That’s not very professional.” Her mom continued.
“You can’t do stuff like that at work?” Emma asked incredulously.
“No you can’t Emma.” Her dad replied.
“Wow, you learn something new everyday. What about the car thing then, they’re married and don’t come to work together? That’s so odd. You guys ride to work together all the time.” Emma questioned.
“Emma first of all, not all couples are married,” Her mom told her, ignoring the gasp of disbelief that escapes her nine year old.
“Secondly, they probably don’t even live together. Of course they’ll come to work in different cars.” Her mom continued.
Emma’s shocked beyond words, her brother Eric wasn't paying attention, just eating his food and replaying the opening for power rangers in his mind as he ignored them. Her dad’s just thinking about how all of this could’ve been avoided if they just gave her electronics and discovered the weird stuff on the internet in the first place. He pushed the thought from his mind though, his wife said no so he sticks beside her.
“Wait, so you’re telling me that couples aren’t married and don’t live together and can’t act gross and work?” Emma asked.
“Your Aunt Nina and her fiance Sam aren’t married, and they’re a couple.” Her dad answered.
“They’re practically married.” Emma replied.
“Wait, but do you guys think they’re a couple? An unmarried one who doesn't live together?” Emma followed up.
She saw her mom and dad rack their brains to see if they remembered anything out of the ordinary between the fourth and fifth grade teachers that night. And then she heard them agree with her crazy claim.
The next day, when she took Shelby’s side in the argument, their conversations shifted forever. The three friends had made it their new mission to find out if their teachers were really together.
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
In between that time, the semester had ended, and the long awaited break had begun. Her mom and dad finally sat her down and told her about the different types of couples and all that jazz. They also took her to see her grandparents, where she stayed with all of her cousins for two weeks.
Emma, Shelby and Tommy met regularly to talk about their random findings, even during their break. Nothing was bigger than the time Emma saw them both at Ms. Lim’s bakery though. The two teachers didn’t notice her, and she didn’t try to get noticed as she saw them share a slice of cheesecake and basically smiled at each other for five minutes.
Through it all though, the mission seemed to be leading them practically nowhere. The new semester started with Shelby and Tommy telling Emma how Ms. (last name) came back with a new ring on her finger, signifying that she finally got married.
Tommy told her to check Mr. Choi’s hands to see if he had a ring on as well to confirm their suspicions. Mr. Choi always had rings on his fingers though, so that plan was fruitless.
For days on end, Emma tried to figure out if there was a new ring on Mr. Choi’s finger, and for days on end it seemed as if nothing was out of the ordinary.
Just as Emma was about to give up though, the answers to their questions fell right into her lap.
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
It was a rainy Thursday, and like all rainy days, Emma gets dropped off to school earlier than usual. Emma told her parents goodbye at the entrance of the school, watching her dad’s truck drive off with her mom waving at her wildly from the window.
Emma began to turn around to head inside before hearing the familiar purr of her teacher’s SUV pulling into the parking lot. She then stopped fully once she saw her teacher help Ms. (last name) out of the car?!?!!?!?!
Mr. Choi and Ms. (last name) just came out of the same car. Mr. Choi is helping Ms. (last name) with her bags. Mr. Choi – OH MY GOODNESS DID MR. CHOI JUST KISS MS. (LAST NAME)’S FOREHEAD? were the thoughts that ran through Emma’s mind once she saw what transpired.
Emma wanted to stand there and rack her brain to find the sense in all of what had happened, but the teachers were both coming towards the entrance? Oh my goodness, Emma Kang. Go and run into a hole right now.
Emma picked up her pace and starts to walk away, but the warm tilt of a harmonious tone traveled to her ears as Ms. (last name) greeted her from her walk toward the door. Emma stopped like a deer in headlights, and turned slowly to greet the two teachers.
My goodness, they’re even sharing an umbrella. Emma Kang, for the first time in her life, just wants to not be a curious kid. Having to see this from her favorite teachers isn’t good for her psyche.
“Emma Kang, it’s been a while. How are you doing this morning? Are you ready for our rainy day movie session? I didn’t expect the rain to happen so quickly into the semester, but man am I excited for our class to get together again and have some fun. Do you want to help Mr. Choi and I choose the first movie? We’ve been arguing about the lineup all –”
“(First name), you’re rambling.” Mr. Choi interrupted, and only one thing entered Emma’s mind like a blaring siren once she saw Ms. (last name) stop and giggle about it, apologizing to the kid.
“You two are married.” Emma blurted out in the midst of Ms. (last name)’s apology, causing the two teachers to freeze up at the accusation – no, the declaration.
They both rubbed their necks in tandem; Ms. (last name) laughing nervously and suddenly finding interest in the school motto placed on the wall beside them. Mr. Choi looked at his wife, and then looked at his (now unfortunate) brightest student.
“You two are married right? Mr. Choi kissed your forehead and you guys got out of the same car and you guys are even holding pinkies over the handle of Ms. (last name)’s bag.” Emma asked, pointing out her deductions to the newlyweds before her.
The air stilled once she continued on with her findings, almost laughing at the fact that they immediately let go of each others’ pinkies. Mr. Choi told Emma to follow them, walking from the entrance and to the classroom of 2A.
Emma watched as they both started to unpack the bags, placing stuff here and there and working together like they’ve been doing this for years. Emma watched a new level of their cooperation unfold on that rainy thursday.
After they had set up everything, Ms. (last name) walked over to Mr. Choi, and pulled at his blazer to get his attention. They had a discussion with wide eyes and ragged whispers for about five minutes before Mr. Choi raised his hands in defeat. That’s when Emma noticed that he forwent the rings he usually donned, one simple band on his left ring finger catching the light in the room.
“I guess the cat’s out of the bag now.” Ms. (last name) said after a few moments of awkward silence.
Emma’s eyes widened to the size of saucers once she realized that they were admitting to her declarations.
“You guys really are married?” She carefully asked.
“Yes, yes we are. We recently tied the knot during the break.” Mr. Choi answers, stifling his laughter once he sees confusion slide across his student’s face.
“What does tying a knot have to do with your marriage?” Emma confusingly questioned.
“It’s an expression. One of the many ways of saying you got married without actually saying it.” Ms. (last name) replies, pinching her husband for laughing.
“Oh.” Is all Emma said in response.
The adults studied her face for any odd reactions from Emma Kang, who started to have another mental battle with herself.
“We actually wanted to tell you and the other kids about it later on.” Mr. Choi supplies helplessly.
That didn’t seem to work though, as Emma continued to just … blankly stare at them.
“Are you upset, Emma Kang?” Ms. (last name) asked after almost three minutes of heavy silence.
Then Emma blinks a few times, looking up at them with something close to joy swimming in her eyes. Mr. Choi and Ms. (last name) let out the breath they didn’t even know they were holding.
“Upset? This is the best news I’ve gotten all school year. Why would I be upset when the two nicest people in the world are married?” Emma exclaims.
“I thought you’d be upset that we didn’t say anything.” Mr. Choi replied.
“I thought you had a crush on Mr. Choi, to be honest.” Ms. (last name) replied at the same time.
“I’m nine.” Emma deadpanned.
“When I was nine, I had a crush on my music teacher. I don’t see how that excuse is relevant.” Ms. (last name) said.
“(First name) you were just an odd kid.” Mr. Choi followed up.
Emma chuckled when she saw Ms. (last name) hit Mr. Choi on the arm for his comment.
“You who was crushing over Sam from ‘Danny Phantom’ at that exact age, puh-lease.” Ms. (last name) accused.
“At least she and I were closer in age than you and your old shriveled up music teacher.” Mr. Choi responded.
“Sam isn’t even real.” Ms. (last name) said.
“Neither was your chance with that wrinkly old music teacher.” Mr. Choi replied.
“He was 25 oh my goodness Jiung, stop calling him old.” Ms. (last name) exclaimed.
“Even worse.” Mr. Choi replied.
The adults stopped their playful banter when they heard Emma cracking up from her seat.
“You guys are the sweetest.” She replied once she stopped laughing, shocked at the fond looks that stretched their smiles wide at her.
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
The rainy day ended up with Emma harboring their secret for them, a lot of movies, and a kid crashing from a sugar rush after sneakily eating too much candy.
Later that semester, the teachers decided to tell their class separately about their marriage, which breaks another spout of gossip between Emma, Shelby and Tommy. The news spread through More Than Words Elementary like wildfire that day.
Questions were thrown at the couple for weeks to come after that, and a new quest (bet) was formed between the kid trio. Guessing when they’d have their first kid.
Emma now helped the kind teachers set up for movie days whenever it rained, and a new constant had been added to Emma’s long list of things she loved.  Her parents (and brother), trucks, Ms. Lim’s bakery, the burger place, Ms. (last name) and Mr. Choi from Class 2A. That was her list of constants.

It feels a bit appropriate that I’m writing these while waiting for a chocolate cake to bake.
Steve Randle Headcanons
Tumblr media
Steve has eaten a whole chocolate cake before. The Curtis brothers made the mistake of leaving him alone with a chocolate cake while they were out and came back to a empty plate
The only evidence there was a chocolate cake, at some point, was the cake all over Steve’s face
No one knows how he didn’t get sick from that amount of chocolate cake
No one makes the mistake of leaving him alone with chocolate cake again
He doesn’t like many sweet things except chocolate cake
He is surprisingly good at school. I mean he ain’t no straight a student but he can get a b if he tries hard enough. Except for mechanics. His grade is never below a A
He use to tutor Sodapop before he dropped out. He would spend hours at the Curtis household, just tutoring Soda
When he finishes school, he starts working as a mechanic and eventually opens up his own shop
This guy is AuHD (autistic and adhd)
He is always full of excess energy
Getting this dude to sit still is a task and a half. He is always moving in some way or another, unless he is asleep
His special interest since he was 4, was cars and it doesn’t change at any point
He used to love watching his dad work on his car when he was younger
He would eventually get a step stool so he can look at the engine with his dad
His dad would take him to a few car shows and Steve would just marvel at all the cars
He would be at the car show from the time it started to the time it ended, just staring at each car
All of this was before his mom left them. Which is a good segue to the angst headcanons
Steve was a oops baby and his dad doesn’t let him forget that
Steve’s parents tried to make their relationship work but they couldn’t. All they did was argue.
His mom disappeared in the middle of the night and he has not seen her since. He has heard about her new family though
He had an older sister but she hasn’t talked to him since he was 4 and she went to college
He sleeps at the Curtis household once a week since his dad always kicks him out once a week
Darry always has a pillow and blanket set out for Steve before he even gets there because you can hear the arguing down the street
Time to finish this off with a positive headcanon
He has fixed Darry’s truck for him when it’s broken down
Darry tries to pay him but Steve just runs down the street before he can
The next day there is a chocolate cake waiting for him at the Curtis household
Steve is slowly rising in the ranks of my favourite greasers

Beedi with my cheeni (Teen!Kid X Teen!Reader)
Tw: smoking
A/n: I know this is anwar but teen dev is technically teen Kid sooooooo. Also as someone who smoked and struggle to quit DO NOT SMOKE, KIDS
Tumblr media
You're trying your best to uphold the "good student" reputation you have. Your eyes pinned on the class's clock as if it personally betrayed you.
It's almost time to go home, not for you though, you're supposed to go to that stupid additional classes for gifted kids.
Your eyes trailed from the clock to look at the whiteboard.
You have to focus otherwise you'd have to study all these by yourself and you just can't be bothered!
Your focus on Miss Raji was diverted once a random crumpled piece of paper spawned on your table. You furrowed your eyebrows and turned to your right, looking at the tight face of your favourite boy. You raised your eyebrows and he, with his straight face, tilted his head towards the direction of the paper.
You turned and smoothened the paper to see what's written inside.
'beedi tonight?' written in his pretty handwriting.
A small smile creeped up on you, your free hand had lifted itself to toy with the tip of your uniform's collar. You turned back at him and sticked out your tongue then turned to look at the teacher again leaving Kid confused.
After class, he trailed behind you, pulling lightly at your bag once he reached you.
"yessss, devu?" you turned around and smiled. He pushed the overwhelming feeling from his heart to his stomach, he can't let it all spill out, all that from the childhood nickname that his mom used to call him. Now only belong to your lips.
Kid looked around before looking down at you. "tonight?" he looked like a kicked puppy, how dare you give him a vague answer?
You chuckled and nodded "yea yea, just wait for me there, I'll be there." you said nonchalantly, eyes searching around the hallway before your hand roam up to his tie, chuckling and pulling his tie while leading it into one of the empty classrooms.
"cheeni..?" Kid's confused but relaxed once you held his cheeks in your hands, squished them a little before planting a kiss on his soft lips. You chuckled when you hear a small whine form him when you pulled away.
"for a tall and scary man, you're really clingy," you teased before exiting the classroom, leaving Kid confused, blushed and alone.
Usually you would walk with him back to the orphanage but because of your extra classes, he had to walk alone and simultaneously in charge walking the little ones back with him.
"Bhaiyaa!" he heard multiple high pitched voices once he walked near the primary school's bus stop. He smiled a little but not enough to be noticed unless you're squinting... Or is his girl.
Kid simply offered his hand to the assigned leader of the little people pack and he gladly took it. Creating a line of kids holding each other's hand to go back to their orphanage together lead by.. Kid.
"where's sundar didi?" mid walking, one of the kids asked, the kid asking is being carried on his shoulders because the tiny guy claimed that his feet hurt.
"hmmm didi went to a special class. It's for smart people," he explained with pride in his voice. His cheeni is a genius and he's proud.
Once they're back in the orphanage he followed the routine he's been doing for almost 7 years. Queue to bathe, eat dinner in the small dining hall, help the little ones with their homework, does his own homework, go to bed.
Well at least tonight, pretend to go to bed.
Once the care givers checked on them, he carefully creep out of the door, walking as quiet as he can and going to the abandoned building behind the orphanage, climbing onto some railing and ending up on the roof.
"boo!" you jumped out and tried to scare him. Kid looked stunned but there's no sound from him.
You let out a big laugh. "oh my God! The colour in your face dissappeared! you should've seen yourself, bandhar."
Kid's stunned face formed a small smile, he pulled you in and kissed your forehead, nose and then twice on your lips.
"you got me there," he mumbled into your hair. You chuckled, face pressed onto his chest, shamelessly sniffing his sweet scent in. Your hand roamed to his rear and pulled the small plastic packet out his pocket, only pulling away after giving his ass a little tap.
Which earning a yelp by him making you laugh slightly.
"beeediiii, where'd you get them this time?" you asked with a smile, feeling his arms wrapped around your waist, swaying you with him from left to right slowly and his smile widen.
"first years, I comfiscated them," he chuckled when you gave him a shocked look.
"ouh! The prefect is misusing his powers!" you laughed and held his hand, leading him to the blanket you'd laid down on the floor, you laid down and took of his shoes, you just smiled and waited for him. Kid laid down, head to head, he turned his head slightly to kiss at your forehead, he trailed down to kiss your nose then you lifted your head so he can access your lips.
He took out one perfectly rolled beedi from the bag and light it up, giving it a little drag before passing it to you.
You looked at it and chuckle. "I know you didn't roll this by yourself." he turned to look at you.
"why's that?"
You sit up and looked at him. "come on, baby, don't lie to me, I know you so so well, it's okay to say you can't roll."
Kid tried to act like he's offended but he himself knew that you were only telling the truth.
You smiled and took one drag and playfully blows the smoke at his face. Kid just smiled. He's got his eyes closed while your own were pinned on the moon. You sighed before decided to bite the bullet.
"you've been a little distant," you said, twirling the beedi on between your thumb and index fingers. He might be clinging to you but his kisses doesn't linger as long, his touches ate held back, it makes you crave him.
He didn't say anything but the way he sucked in a sharp breath notified you that he indeed heard you.
"why is that?" you asked, still not taking your eyes off of the bright moon.
"cheeni," he said almost annoyed that you're bringing this up.
"no tell me, what is it?" you demanded, sitting up straight to loons t him.
He sighed, finally opening his eyes and sat accros you.
"you're a smart girl... And you're not taking the scholarship because of me."
You groaned. "this again?"
"yes, this again. Do you realise the potential you're letting go?" he asked you, his face now a little desperate.
You took a drag of the beedi and shook your head. "I'm a smart girl, yes, but there's too many smart people in India, especially in the field of what's offered to me. Baby, engineering? Do you know how severely underpaid engineers are here? Why should I continue my studies into that field? Because of a scholarship?" you asked him, trying to get him to grasp your perspective.
"but the company offering the scholarship has overseas branches, I made my research," he said, fidgeting with his fingers.
"what? You want me to work outside?" you asked in disbelief. "if I knew this scholarship would bother you so much I wouldn't have joined that stupid learners program,"
He throw his arms up, his frustrations were flowing through. "see?! You're holding yourself back because of me!"
You groaned and shook your head. "I'm not! I don't want that life. I want our plan, I want you, Mumbai, I want to open that small coffee shop we've been talking about. I don't want anything else! Just a small apartment with you, a small life," you replied just as frustrated.
He was silent for a few minutes before sighing, his knees had been pulled to be against his chest. He opened his mouth. "and when the apartment gets too small? And the money gets too tight? Would you come back to this moment and regret choosing that life.. Choosing me. Because of me." his voice small and tired.
"I can't give you more, you came from more, you deserve more, you could achieve more,"
You sighed, this isn't about the scholarship.
You pulled his knees away, settling in his lap and hugging him tight.
"you stupid monkey, I told you, I don't want more. I want you," he's pressed his head on your chest, you mumbled into his curls.
"I just want you. Can you let me do that? Have you?" you asked, pulling away, carefully lifted his chin with your hand, holding the beedi away from him in fear of accidentally hurting him.
"yeah.. I'm sorry, cheeni," he mumbled, brown eyes looking up to you making you lost in its depth. You leaned down to kiss his forehead, nose then twice in his lips.
"Just you, you, understand? You," you whispered in between kisses and he nodded.
"Just us," he replied

Restoration (Chapter 3)
I have no idea how I keep making the chapters even longer. I just somehow do. But, enjoy!
Word Count: 4,600
CW: Fear, mentions of death, panic attacks, reference to someone as an “it”, overthinking, slight trigger warnings
3-Nathan
When my mom finally came home from work yesterday, I was expecting her to get her plate of dinner and sit down on the couch putting on The Golden Girls like she usually does. What I wasn’t expecting was that she’d be getting a call from my teacher Mrs. Kay. The worst part about it was that they acted like they were such friends. Joking around and laughing. Had they even met each other? Most likely if my mom had kept it a secret that Mrs. Kay actually knew what happened to us in the past. Was mom the one who put me in that horrid class? No, she wouldn’t do anything against my will. Not unless she knew I would be ready for it.
They had talked on the phone for what seemed like hours. I was guessing Mrs. Kay was asking questions about me since my mom had mentioned me multiple times in their conversation, but I was raised not to ever eavesdrop. As I would be punished accordingly. But I wasn’t in that hell hole anymore. And I guess my fear was still pretty bad if I still thought I would be tortured for listening in on a conversation. What made anyone think I could even go to school with giants?
When I had woken up the next morning, it was to the sweet smell of my moms famous pancakes. The one dad always loved before we were kidnapped. I cringed at the thought, but forced myself out of bed and ready for the day, putting on a light purple shirt with a button up, blue sweater my mom bought me last month, and black jeans. I never wear anything that shows my arms. For good reason too.
I rushed down to the kitchen, where my mom had already place my plate on the very right edge of the kitchen island, giving a happy smile to me, “Morning, Sweetie.”
“What the occasion mom?” I laughed, taking my seat and staring down the pancake on my plate. She had always made them the best. Incomparable to even IHop’s pancakes.
“Oh well, I’m sure you can guess why. Last night I was told you were doing a little project with someone. As far as I knew you hadn’t made any friends, so I was getting worried, but now I know you were just embarrassed to tell me.” She giggled. What? Was she talking about Ryker. Oh no. No. Nononono. Not in a million years would I ever trust a giant ever again. Not after what they put my mom and I through.
“N-No! We’re not f-f-friends.” I stuttered, suddenly feeling bad for saying it out loud. Why? I was only speaking the truth. But that didn’t leave a very satisfying taste in my mouth once the words rolled of my tongue.
“Nate, your teacher told me some interesting things about that boy. Ryder was it? He really does sound like a nice guy. Maybe give him a chance? I know it’s hard for you honey.” She hugged me, her grip loose and weak, and planted a kiss on my forehead, giving a sad smile before digging into her breakfast. Now even my mom was saying that he was really nice. How was I supposed to believe that? For all I know all of those acts could have been acting. The little incident at lunch, him trying to talk to me, what if he was just trying to gain my trust to eventually backstab me? Just the thought was making my hands sake as I reached for my fork. I’d only have to hope that today doesn’t go wrong.
Mrs. Kay had told Ryker and I before we left to meet in her room, or more specifically the little office that was in her classroom. It was right by the many newsletters and papers that hung on to the wall presenting various fights and political issues in the city. I try not to pay attention, but we all knew that there was a growing number of riots all around from bother giants and humans.
I headed into her room, seeing that her room was crowded with what seemed like hundred of other students trying to find their partner. I was almost stepped on a few times had I not been practically running to get to the mini office in the back of the classroom. I guess that was just pure luck. Now I just have to hope that that luck pays off in here.
Inside, there was a teacher desk where currently my teacher was sitting at, looking at something on her computer. I turned my gaze somewhere else, seeing that there were two student desks, both with the same elevators for a human to get on top of one. Ryker was sitting at the one on the far right. There were piles of paper on the floor that looked like it needed to be read through and put in order and graded, and some magazines with a picture of one of the people from the riots on the front cover.
A quick glance back to the crowded room, and I was now face first with the elevator I was guessing I was supposed to take. Mrs. Kay nor Ryker even knew I was here, so if I wanted to back out and hide in the bathroom, now would be the time. Let’s see, if I did decide to hide in restrooms, someone is bound to find me and take me to the principal, but at least I wouldn’t be taken around everywhere like some pet, but my mom would hear about it and she would be mad at me. If I didn’t hide, Ryker would most likely try to keep talking to me and eventually forget I was even there. Maybe. If he doesn’t forget I’m there, he might want to mess around with my like I’m some kind of toy or plaything.
Both options were equally as bad. A tough decision to make, but I don’t exactly want my mother to have gone through all of this trouble for me to have a “normal” life, just for me to quit not even a quarter of the way through. That was cruel. But on the other hand, it would be even more cruel to be subdued to that same torture for who knows how long again. Forget it. Everyone’s going through all of this just for me, so I’ll make sure it’s not in vain. Maybe. If I can get through this.
I walked into the elevator, hand hovering over the same dreadful button I see everyday. I suck in a deep breath, pressing the buttons before changing my mind, and instantly regretting every single one of my choices. Wouldn’t I just be bothering these people? Ryker wouldn’t be bothered by me? As far as I know he’s already frustrated with me not even talking to him, and now I have to stick with him the entire school day in order for me to make it out alive. Maybe even literally.
Unconsciously, I pressed my back up against the back elevator wall, sliding down and holding my head between my knees. Everything felt dizzy, and it wasn’t because of my fear of heights. Was I having a panic attack? No, I would be breathing harder and I wouldn’t be able to think. It was just a little breakdown. In front of my teacher and potential kidnapper. Great introduction for the first day, Nathan. I hissed in my head, trying to stand back up, using the railing to hold myself up on shaky legs. There were a pair of eyes on me, and oddly enough it didn’t feel like a stab right to my back. No time to think about that when I was struggling to just keep my balance.
After struggling to regain my balance, I looked out where the elevator gate was open, revealing a huge black box I’m pretty sure was Ryker’s phone, his hand grabbing it and stuffing it in his pocket. I let out a quiet squeak as his hand moved fast, making me instinctively move back, and once again my back was pressed up against the wall. I made the wrong decision.
My heart was beating fast, and my thoughts were all jumbled up. Any chance of thinking clearly was gone, and now I was trapped inside the elevator unless they wanted to force me out. How can I become friends with someone who was much, much bigger than I was? Would he even want to? Or was he like those sadistic jerks that just want to mess around and act like we were just toys?
There were muffled voices outside, but I wasn’t paying attention to what they were saying, more worried about how I would get out of here. I had calmed down enough to somewhat get thoughts through. If I make a run for it they could easily stop me. If I don't’ run they’ll force me out and punish me for not listening. Wait no- It’s a school why would they hurt a student? Were they even allowed to? Oh wait that’s off topic-
“Hey, um, Nathan? Are you okay?” It was Ryker’s voice. Just as soft as I remember. Too bad I was not in any condition to answer. I most definitely was not okay. Not in the least, and yet I still somehow found myself in this situation. If anything, him knowing I was there only made my heart race faster and my trembling even more severe.
The room stayed silent for a while as I calmed myself down. The first bell rang, signaling that there were five minutes until first period started, and I immediacy felt regret. I was going to make him late because I couldn’t even make it past this stupid elevator. Great. Even more guilt. But even more of a reason for me to get out. I was calmed down enough, and surprisingly I didn’t have a complete panic attack. Now the only thing I have to get past was how he would be carrying me.
Taking one step at a time, I made my way to right in front of Ryker, occasionally tripping over my own feet and catching my balance at the last second, but I made it. I never lifted up my head, scared that I would lose any and all confidence that remained in me if we hade made eye contact. Especially when I had the feeling he would know that I was really, really terrified for my life.
“Ryker? You can handle the rest?” I hear Mrs. Kays ecstatic voice, typing away at her computer. I jumped seeing him move his hand slightly towards me, shutting my eyes tightly and expecting for him to grab me like I used to be, or even dangled in the slightest, but it never came. To my complete and utter shock, he laid his hand palm up on the very edge of the desk, waiting for me to approach. I gulped. I had never done this before.
I had always been grabbed or dangled around, never given the option of being held. It was either in a tight fist that usually resulted in a few broken ribs, or casually being used as a toy for kids. I shuddered at the memory.
Still, this was a surprise. I wasn’t expecting this, and now I felt insecure about how to get on. Do I just jump? Walk? Run? I mean the guy from yesterday had just dragged me on, so this is technically my first time. He just jumped right on. Could I do the same? But Ryker knows Lucky. He doesn’t know me. Maybe only people who Ryker knows are allowed to do that.
Curse my overthinking.
I waited for Ryker to get impatient with me, but it never happened. His hand stayed still, never once reaching for me in anticipation. Maybe a minute had gone by. Th longest minute of my life, but that’s when he eventually gave a sympathetic look towards me, “Have you done this before?” Not willingly, no.
I shook my head almost immediately with no hesitation, feeling terrible for making him wait this long. I dug my head in my hands, feeling all the extra wight of guilt on my shoulders. I’m ruining everything.
“No it’s… it’s fine. Just whatever makes you comfortable.” He told me, a hint of sadness in his tone. What would he sad about?
I took shaky steps to the edge, seeing how I should do this and eventually just walking on. I mean, it worked out, but I fell face first into the fleshy surface. Somehow this wasn’t the first time that I’ve face planted into Ryker’s palm. He let out a chuckle, “You okay?”
How do I even begin to answer? Words were not enough to express the amount of fear that was building up inside me. Not even enough to describe red my face turned from embarrassment. This was the worst feeling ever, but I still managed a weak nod before settling in the center of his hand, trying to stay away from all possible ways to fall down to my imminent death. Not something I would like to enjoy.
He slowly stood up, grabbed his backpack and headed down the hall to his next class that really wasn’t even that far from this one. At least it wasn’t far for him.
There were tons of students in this class, making me feel insecure and tiny. I wasn’t used to being around this many giants. Especially ones that seemed to notice me and give out looks. But they weren’t directed to me. All directed to Ryker, who just sighed and headed to his seat like he didn’t have a care in the world how others looked at him like he was some wild animal. How does he do that?
I was expecting him to just throw me onto the desk, but he let his palm down, letting me get off safely without spraining an ankle or getting the wind knocked out of me. I would have thanked him had I not been terrified. I stood awkwardly on his desk, my thoughts a jumbled up mess. What do I do? I mean of course I have my own work to do on the computers we were given, but I was talking about what do I do now that I was on the desk.
Ryker was pulling out a journal and a book from his backpack and placed them near me, but not so close that I jumped in fear of him dropping that onto me. He glanced in my direction, flashed a smile and dug out whatever else he needed for this class. I looked down, noticing that I was pretty much smack in the middle of his desk. I was in his way.
Before my knees gave out on me, I hurried to the edge of the desk, and forced myself not to look down at the impossible height I was at. I felt stares, but most weren’t directed at me. I groaned to myself, hating the fact that I was being watched. They were just curious, but I’d rather not have to worry about someone constantly having me under their eye. It didn’t feel right.
The final bell rang, and that’s when class had started.
I didn’t even realize how shaky I was until Ryker lightly tapped on the desk in front of me, making me flinch and avert my attention to him. He flashed a sad smile, giving a thumb up as if asking if I was okay. I most definitely was not, but I forced myself to give a shaky nod and pulled out my computer.
Every so often I would jump or react when he had moved to grab something near me or was just flipping a page. I was doing a pretty good job since I haven’t ran off yet. Not that I could without having twenty pairs of eyes on me. Otherwise, everything was going great.
In all honesty, it really wasn’t too bad if I just did the same things over and over again. Ryker took me to his classes, I had somehow never failed to fall face first the second I took a step onto his palm, resulting in him asking if I was okay. During his classes, I moved out of his way before he ended up getting annoyed with me, which I was expecting but never came. Odd. But there was no way I was going to test his patience. It could all go downhill from there.
For lunch, I just sat with at the table Ryker usually sits at, trying to make it easier on him. Both of us never ate lunch apparently. He sat on his phone, while I just finished up some notes from my physics class. He didn’t try to make a conversation with me, only the occasional yes or no questions. If I was okay. Did I want to move. Those sorts of things.
What didn’t sit right with me was how he flashed me sad looks every time I moved away from him or when I jumped. It’s like he felt bad for making me feel scared. Why? It was so weird to see how he cared so much about how I felt when I cared so much about how he felt towards me. Wasn’t he annoyed with having to take care of me? I would be if I had to constantly carry about something that didn’t even look grateful for the help.
The rest of the day was easy. He had his seventh period off, taking us to the library along with four other people who were currently playing Uno. He let me on the ground where there was an entrance to the human side of the library, telling me that I was probably tired of being around him all day and I could have some time alone if I wanted to.
So now here I was in a quiet library where two teachers were talking about something and I just sat here trying to stay calm. Only forty more minutes and I was free. Eight more school days and I wouldn’t have to do this ever again hopefully. Good. I could barely keep up with one day, let alone the rest of the school year? Nope. I do not want that on my to-do list.
It was three minutes before the bell rang, and I decided not to keep Ryker waiting like this morning. It was rude, and I really didn’t want him to be late because I couldn’t even get on his hand without going under a breakdown. I’m just lucky he hasn’t even mentioned anything about this morning.
I walked back into the library, seeing that the people who were playing Uno already left for class while Ryker was sitting down on the couch reading that same book he took out this morning. He didn’t seem bothered at all. Well, that might change after carrying me around for two weeks.
I looked around, trying to find a way to get on the table or really anything to stand up on for him to see me, but there was nothing. There were no elevators in this library. Heck. What do I do now though? The bell’s going to ring soon and Ryker doesn’t even realize. Of course everything has to go downhill right when it’s almost the end of the day. Life hates me.
Yelling was under no circumstance an option. Getting closer to him wasn’t either. I’d just have to hope he realizes soon enough. And luckily, he closes his book and looks towards the door that leads to the human side and sees me. Good. I was not about to yell for him to notice me. Not at all.
He shoved the book in his backpack before standing up and walking slowly towards me, but I couldn’t stop the quiet squeak that escaped my mouth. He was tall. Really, really tall. Even for a giant. How did I not realize this sooner? My breath hitched in my throat as I looked down to the ground. Seeing him sitting at a desk was one thing, but him standing up to his full height while I was on the ground? Not something I wanted to see.
He must have caught on because he crouched down, holding a hand out. Either that or he just wanted to get going. I hurried on, hoping he wouldn’t catch that I was trembling extremely violently.
“Sorry. Were you waiting long?” He asked me. I bit the side of my cheek, shaking my head. I lied.
As soon as the last class of the day started, Mrs. Kay walked in looking cheery as always, “How’d everyone’s day go?” She had asked, earning a few answers from students. Apparently they all had a great time. It’s because they were already friends and used to this.
“I’m glad you all enjoyed it. Today is a free day, so finish up whatever work you have in other classes or talk with your partner. Get to know one another.”
The whole room was bustling with bright conversation while I still couldn’t even say one word to Ryker. A part of me really wanted to. I mean, I was being rude by not actually giving any effort at all to talk, but at the same time I feel like I would just be more annoying to him.
Mrs. Kay came over to us, smiling and keeping her posture as she checked on students as she came down the isle. I winced, already knowing what might happen. She’s going to tell us to talk. Ryker has only asked me simple questions today, and I always either nodded my head or shook it. Meaning I haven’t spoken a single word to him for the week and half. Honestly, I was kind of jealous that others could laugh and joke around with their partners while I couldn’t so much as open my mouth to speak. Some great partner, huh?
“How did today go you two?”
I didn’t bother looking, too embarrassed to answer. Ryker was about to complain to her about everything that was wrong with me and there was nothing I could do about it. Because he isn’t wrong, even if I don’t know what he’ll say. I was weak, pathetic, scared, my bones were even more breakable than a normal humans because of how many times they’ve been broken in the past, I was a lot shorter than the average human, I wasn’t strong. You’re broken. That last thought hangs in the back of my mind and leaves a sour taste on my tongue.
Who knew, maybe he would get an actual partner that could keep a conversation with him. Or to entertain him long enough. Just get me out of here already so I can-
“It was good.” Was all Ryker answered with, and I could somehow hear the smile on his face.
I didn’t know if this was some kind of trick or not, but if it is, then it’s awful. He has to be lying. There has to be something he can say other than “it’s good.” Seriously. I’m pretty sure Ryker grew tired of my at some point in time.
“And how about you Nathan?” The question directed to me.
What do I answer? “I didn’t die?” Or “All my limbs are intact.” Or my body answers for me instead, nodding shakily as I eye the elevator door. Maybe I could get out of here? No one would notice, and as long as Ryker wasn’t looking I could just slip away… No. There’s only about twenty minutes left of class. I can hopefully survive until then.
“Have you two talked at all?” Mrs. Kay asked, a hint of anxiousness in her tone. It’s because she knows from my mom. That’s what my mom was talking to her about. How I reacted to being around giants. Great. Because I needed more people trying to figure out what was wrong with me.
I didn’t bother knowing if Ryker nodded or shook his head. I hated my overthinking. So, so much. All terrible possible outcomes, and that’s all I can think about. That I’ll never live the life I used to live ever again. That no one will figure out whatever was wrong with me. That I’ll never be able to trust a person again. I miss the days when dad would just lie down with me on the cold, metal floor of our cage and keep telling me everything was alright when nothing was.
Wait.
Why was I talking about that?
I wish my overthinking would just go away.
“Hmm. Alright. I said these next two weeks would be fun, and I have the best idea for that.” She giggled, but I could hint that little bit of worry hidden in her words. This wasn’t going to end well for me.
She walks up to the front of the room, “I really wasn’t planning on everyone getting along so well right away, but this is apparently a faster class, so, here’s a little fun I’ve thought of!” She started off, “I want you to go to to each other’s houses. Or, more specifically your bigger partner.” She joked, and a couple laughed along.
But this wasn’t funny to me. Apparently not to Ryker either. We both stared wide-eyed at our teacher, probably both wondering the same thing. Why did she do this?
There really was no way out of this. I thought I would pass by these next eight days with just having to deal with school, but now I have to go to his house? What would his parents think of me? I’m literally bothering him afterschool and that’s probably his time to destress and not be bothered by anyone, which was the complete opposite of what I’d be doing.
“Now, it can be anytime between now and next Friday. You are not required to stay over for the night, but I would like either one of your parents to sign off, proving that it happened. If there are any problems, please take it up with me after class.”
She smiled, and sat down at her desk, probably making the slips we were now supposed to get signed by either one of our parents. But, as I looked back to Ryker, he didn’t look angry, but he didn’t look happy either. His hands were clenched into fists, he was biting the inside of his cheek, and I did not like how close his hands were to me.
Soon enough, the class was filled with excited conversation again. I somehow worked up the courage to turn around, and Ryker was staring out the window, and then his eyes met mine, making me jump. Great turn of events. I wasn’t expecting that.
“How do you feel about being in a house with five other people?” He awkwardly asked, worry encasing every word he said. I quickly shook my head. No. Five people? So him… his parents… does that mean he has two other siblings? Oh heck. No. No this cannot be happening. I can’t even handle one person let alone five?
Ryker gave a sad smile, “Sorry litt-… Nathan. I’ll just tell her afterschool that you don’t feel comfortable with this. I’m not going to force you.”
I had no idea what he was going to call me before, but I didn’t care. I was more shocked at how he willingly offered to tell Mrs. Kay for me that I couldn’t do this. Why?
Maybe he wasn’t that bad after all.

Wow. That’s long. But thank you for reading! I hope you’re all enjoying reading this just as much as I am writing it! I promise the next chapter will really explain a lot. For now, enjoy this last-minute drawing I did of Nathan.

“𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐇𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝐈𝐒 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐄,” your boyfriend, a silver-haired man of forty-eight, rolled his eyes as you once again checked your updo in the small compact mirror in your hand. “Now, stop fidgeting.”
“Fine, fine,” you sigh, tucking it once more in your bag as you adjust its position on your shoulder; you step up to the door and lift your hand to knock–hesitating. “....what if we just went to get chinese with Rhae and Harwin? I’m sure it’s not too–”
Reaching past you, Daemon wrapped his hand against the door before you could stop him, causing you to freeze in horror at what he had just done; from inside the house you could already hear the family dog, Urrax, sounding the alarm from within followed by the scolding tone of your mother. You already could hear both approaching the door to greet the guests–you and Daemon–and it took all your willpower and him taking your hand to stop you from bolting. Feeling him give you a comforting squeeze, you looked up into his face and raised a pale brow at you.
“What have you done?” You groan, leaning against his arm for extra support just as the door swings open in front of you.
The bells from the Christmas wreath that hung over the window beat against each other, shrilly ringing as they are drowned out by your mother’s excited greeting.
“My baby!” She exclaimed, immediately pulling you into the warmth of her embrace and holding you there for several moments; it allowed you if but for a moment to forget your earlier anxiety, tucking it in a corner for now as you let yourself wrap your arms around her frame in reply. All the while Urrax was at your feet, switching between excitedly waiting for your acknowledgement and sniffing cautiously at the unfamiliar man before him; only with your beloved canine’s approval would Daemon be permitted to enter the home–or at least that’s what your mom liked to let him believe. “Come in, come in–you two must be freezing! How was the drive from the city?”
Your mom was pulling you in before you could even get out an answer, and since your other hand was still death gripped in Daemon’s he was tugged along for the journey. At least she allowed you enough time to stop at the coat rack and peel off the layers of winter wear you had been subjected to only to still somehow remain freezing cold. As you unwrapped your scarf, face rosy from the wind, you hummed:
“It was alright; Daemon drove my car because dad got me those snow tires.”
“See? And you didn’t want to take him up on those….”
“Mom–” You sighed. “I just didn’t want you guys spending any more money on me.”
“Nonsense, you’re our only baby–aside from you, Urrax,” she threw in for the dog’s benefit, as if he could somehow understand them; he simply panted happily at the mention of his name, probably expecting some sort of treat. “Who else are we going to spend it on? Now, you–”
She looked pointedly at Daemon who was peeling off his black coat, stopping with one arm still in as he looked between you and your mother. You offered him no out; this had been his plan after all–wanting to meet your parents finally after nearly six months of dating. It wasn't that you didn’t want your parents to get to know the guy you were seeing, but you weren’t blind to the possibility of their opposition due to the age gap–among other things.
“Let me get a good look at you,” your mother continued, stepping close so she could get a better look at Daemon’s face; still paused in that same stance, arm tucked in one sleeve of the coat while the other held it up, your boyfriend offered your mother a devilishly handsome smile.
“It’s nice to finally meet you,” he hummed cordially–or as cordial as Daemon could be.
“Hmmm,” was your mother’s only response, eyes looking up and down in that overly critical way she used on all the other moms on the PTA board, “Damion was it?”
“Mom--” you hissed, ears flushing from embarrassment rather than the cold this time.
“What? Is his name Damion or not?” She exclaimed, feigning innocence.
“It’s quite alright–it’s a bit of a unique spelling,” Daemon smiled, though you could see the fire he hid well in his eyes. “It’s actually, Daemon ma’am–Daemon Targaryen.”
“Oh, Targaryen!” Your mother’s eyes widened, recognizing the name. “Like the Targaryens from that fancy steel factory?”
“Correct,” Daemon’s smile had turned into a smirk, and you hid your laughter behind a smile as you finally turned away from them to kneel and greet Urrax; the beast thanked you for your attentions with gross smelling slobber-ladened kisses on your face and hands.
“Where’s dad?” You asked breathlessly as you gently pushed his face away from yours with a laugh.
“In the den, watching that damn It’s a Wonderful for the umpteenth time,” you could hear the roll of her eyes in the tone of her voice. “Couldn’t even pull him away from the recliner to help with dinner; we’re having your favorite by the way–I hope it’s not cold. We were expecting you an hour ago….”
“Well it is snowing, mom,” brushing off the jab, you rise to your full height and turn back to them; your eyes flick to Daemon, who is watching you carefully.
“I know, I know,” she waved dismissively, brushing past you and towards the den area. “Now come on–he’s been dying to meet your fella; hope you’re ready for a hundred and twenty questions, Daemon.”
“Certainly,” he chuckled, arm coming to wrap around your waist and tucking you into his side as he guided the pair of you to follow the woman.
Sighing, you let him be your strength as your head falls to his chest, “it’s not too late to run….”
You say it low enough so your mother won’t hear, already yelling at your father to turn off the TV before she even enters the room. Daemon simply laughs again, leaning down to press a kiss to the crown of your head as his hand gives your hip a firm squeeze. Biting your lip, you tilt your head up to press a kiss of your own against the strong square of his jaw, letting your nose graze the skin there before your gaze falls back down through the doorway. Already you can hear your father heaving himself out of his chair as he and your mother argue over the TV, George Bailey’s iconic speech humming in the background.
“Now where did you put the remote?” Your mother groaned, passing in view before disappearing to the other side of the den. Daemon and you stopped in the doorway as you both peered in, assessing the situation before you interrupted what could end up being one of your parents’ infamous holiday fights.
Without fail on high stress seasonal celebrations like Thanksgiving and Christmas, where tensions ran high, your chronically on the cusp of divorce parents ended up in some ridiculous and avoidable argument that burned brightly and fizzled out just as quickly; by the time dessert was served they were usually back to their amicable albeit annoying selves, and your appetite for food and celebration was ruined for the rest of the night.
“It’s in the chair cushions, mom,” you interjected, wanting to avoid such an instant this year as it was yours and Daemon’s first official holiday with each other; you had skipped out on having Thanksgiving together last month after an argument about the very thing you were doing at your parents’--introducing him as your boyfriend. You had met pretty much every member of his immediate family, which was saying something considering there were a lot of them; he had even introduced you to the daughters he’d had with his late wife, Laena, already. And although it had gone about as good as could be expected, at least he had taken that initiative and wasn’t trying to hide your relationship; honestly, it was hot how much he loved showing you off, it was one of your favorite things about him–his confidence in his decisions, the way he never second guessed himself.
If only you could say the same.
“Like it always is,” you tacked on as you moved away from Daemon’s side and brushed past your father, hand coming up to pat him on the back as you leaned forward and dug through either side of the broken in recliner he had had since the father’s day of the year you turned five; you remembered how excited you had been when you had given your mom the five dollars from one of your teeth–believing it all the money in the world, or at least enough to get that chair your dad was eying out of a La-Z-Boy catalog that came in the mail.
Gripping the remote in hand, you pulled it from between where it was stuck and held it out to your mom, waving it as you gave her a knowing expression. Rolling her eyes, she huffed as she reached out and grabbed it, pointing it at the TV a moment before it finally cut George Bailey off and went dark.
“See? She always blames these things on me,” your dad snorted, a vision in his trademark plaid button up and the brown leather belt that adorned every pair of jeans he’d ever worn..
“Well it technically was your fault it ended up under your ass, dad,” you defended.
“Language,” your mother huffed, and as always you and your dad shared an eye roll.
“Enough with the nagging,” your father hummed, growing serious–or as serious as he ever got–as he turned to Daemon who still stood in the doorway taking in the scene before him. You realized how odd it must be, to be an outsider looking in, at least that’s how you had often felt when initially meeting his family; they had been great about making you feel included at least, except for Baela and Rhaena, and even then they still made it a point to be civil for their dad’s sake after he made it clear you made him happy. “You’re the boyfriend, I presume?”
“Yes,” he pushed off the side of the doorway and stepped forward, raising his hand for your father to shake–it was more than any of your other boyfriends had done in the past. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet both you and your wife.”
“Hm,” was your father’s response, a moment or two passing before he finally grabbed Daemon’s hand and shook it; something seemed to transpire as his critical gaze softened and he smiled. “Well, I’m glad my daughter finally brought you for a visit. She’s told us a bit about you, but I’m eager to hear more.”
“Of course,” Daemon let his hand drop back to his side.
“Now let’s get settled at the table before you begin your interrogation,” your mother playfully scolded her husband. “I already got the table all set and everything; I hope you like roast, Daemon….”
“Sounds delicious,” he hummed, once more falling into step beside you, hand on the small of your back as you followed your parents into the adjoining open concept dining room/kitchen combo.
“It was one of her favorites growing up,” your mother continued, tossing a thumb your way over her shoulder. “We couldn’t have a ham or a turkey, no–it had to be a nice roast with some of that honey barbeque glaze that was her grandmother’s recipe.”
You all settled at the table–you and Daemon on one side, your parents on the other–as your mother prattled on about hams and glazes and the one time you puked halfway digested roast up on the new carpet after getting the flu really bad when you were thirteen. Biting your tongue, you felt Daemon find your hand under the table, squeezing it tightly as your mom pulled the cover off the platter with the roast on it; your dad was already reaching for his piece when your mother stopped him:
“Prayer first.”
Daemon caught your eye and you could see the distaste clearly painted on his face, knowing that he wasn’t particularly fond of religious practices that fell under the Faith of the Seven; his own family were split in their belief systems, his older brother’s second wife converting him over to the Seven while Daemon and his niece Rhaenyra stayed within the traditions of Old Valyria the Targaryens were known for. Personally, you weren’t religious at all, and neither were your parents who had raised you with an open mind to religion but had no expectations for you to follow a particular faith; your mom only threw out that prayer stuff on the holidays and only when you had guests.
Both you and Daemon bowed your heads, exchanging slightly bemused looks as your mother began the prayer. It was as awkward and hilarious as to be expected, your mother thanking the Seven for bringing the both of you there safely that night and for blessing the food you were about to eat. Then of course she blessed your dad and Urrax who had found himself back inside after disappearing through the backroom doggy door; he was now begging at your father’s feet–the weakest link among your defense when it came to resisting puppy dog eyes.
“And Seven, if you could just make it to where I could be at the top of the phone tree at the next neighborhood watch meeting, that would be appreciated,” your mother tacked on. “In your name we pray, thank you.”
“Thank you,” you held back a snort as Daemon rubbed a hand over his mouth, stifling laughter.
“Dig in!” Your mother exclaimed, grabbing two rolls.
Your father wasted no time in claiming the biggest slice of roast for himself as you covered almost half of your plate in the potatoes that had simmered alongside it. Tossing Urrax a sympathy carrot–you hated steamed carrots–you glanced over at Daemon’s plate which had a little bit of everything on it. Smiling, you nudged him before grabbing your fork and spearing one of the potatoes, popping it in your mouth; initially it was a mistake, the morsel unbearably warm as you rolled it around for a few moments while it cooled down.
“So Daemon,” your father began, swallowing his first bite of roast and green bean casserole combo, “what are your intentions with our daughter?”
It was brutally cliche and your father knew it by the look of the humorous smile playing on his lips, one Daemon shared as he chuckled and set down his fork.
“Well,” he cleared his throat, “we’re just seeing where things go for now–no definitive plans, no expectations.”
You nodded in agreement, the both of you having made what you wanted and needed from the relationship clear from the start. Daemon was a man nearing his fifties, he had long since sowed his wild oats and was a father of two grown adults, he had no need to play games with any of the women he pursued. And for that you were thankful, because otherwise you didn’t think things would’ve ever worked out for as long as they had; he was the first guy you had ever dated that was in the same age bracket as your father–all your other boyfriends born within the same decade as you–and at first you had feared it would be an obstacle you wouldn’t be able to get over but Daemon had been patient although determined for you to at least give him a chance before you completely wrote him off.
“Good, good,” your father nodded in agreement, “because you know we fully expect her to finish college first before any of that settling down nonsense right?”
“Dad, come on,” you sighed, pushing your food around your plate as heat rose in your cheeks.
“We just worry that those four years of college and the time you’ve already put into graduate school will go to waste,” your mother interjected. “It was an awful lot of money, sweetheart.”
“Well I don’t plan on getting pregnant or eloping in Vegas, so you can rest easy, alright?” You dropped a piece of gristly meat on the floor for Urrax to scarf down.
“We’re just asking,” she held up her hands in defense.
You felt Daemon’s hand on your thigh, the pad of his thumb stroking in the same pattern as he periodically gave it a squeeze. Glancing at him, you saw that he was facing forward, seemingly giving your parents his full attention as you all tabled the discussion of him potentially ruining your future.
“How old are you again, Daemon?” your mother led with the next line of questioning, putting you further on edge.
“I’ll be forty-nine this coming spring,” he answered with ease, no shame evident in his tone.
“Goodness, you certainly don’t look your age then,” she complimented, neither her nor your father showing any concern at the gap.
Of course, you hadn’t expected them to react too badly to that aspect of your relationship; you had been clear from the start that there was quite a bit of a gap between Daemon and you. They had taken it with some relative uneasiness at first until you assured them that proper boundaries to protect yourself had been put in place right from the start.
“And we were told that you teach,” your father joined in, scooping up the scraps of his food and holding it on his fork as he continued, “are you a grade school teacher? Or high school?”
“I’m actually a professor,” Daemon explained. “I chair the history department at King’s Landing University.”
Your university.
“Oh,” was all your mother said, before wiping her mouth off with her napkin and composing herself. “What kinds of classes do you offer?”
You knew she was digging, deeper and deeper, so that she may connect the dots of the secret you had held so close all those months. And if you could hold it close just a bit longer you would, but this had been Daemon’s wish when he had requested you both spend Christmas together at your parents’ house. He didn’t want to hide the truth any longer if there was any hope of this continuing past the six month probationary period the both of you had agreed on in the beginning, and neither did you truly; but facing your parents and their scrutiny was also not something you particularly desired either.
“Mostly ones on Ancient Civilizations,” he replied. “The traditions and cultures of places like Essos and Pentos; I spent much of my earlier studies traveling and writing about them and then of course Old Valryia. My family is rumored to date all the way back to its fall, and growing up I found the prospect quite fascinating–so I decided to make a career out of it.”
“Didn’t you take one of those ancient civilization courses last semester?” Your father asked, not seeming to be connecting the dots just yet as he went for a second slice of roast. By the look on your mother’s face, however, you knew that she had come to the conclusion straight away, fork hanging limply from her hand with a stray green bean that Urrax sniffed at from her side.
“I did….” You gulped, licking your lips as you reached down to lay your hand over Daemon’s; he turned his palm upwards, entwining your fingers together. “Ancient Civilizations of the Old World: The Valyria Chapter….Daemon’s class.”
Your eyes flicked between your parents, mom pale faced as she processed what she’d already known and your father still chewing, though the movement of his jaw slowed visibly and a frown curved his lips as he too began to process what you had just said. For a moment, you fooled yourself into believing that everything would be okay and this was just the initial shock, they wouldn’t really care that much, right? That was until your dad’s fork slammed down on the table and he swallowed his bite, jaw tense as he looked between you and Daemon.
“You two met….in his class?” Your mother asked breathlessly, setting her fork down with more decorum than your father had. “He-He’s your professor?”
“He was,” you clarified, “but he’s not anymore. I made sure I didn’t take any of his classes this semester after we made things official–”
“As if that somehow makes it better,” your father cut you off.
“Dad–” you sighed, expecting the pushback; an age gap you could rationalize to your parents, dating your professor? That wouldn’t be as easy. They were very by the book, your parents, particularly when it came to company politics and procedures, and the golden rule they lived by was that you didn’t date your co-workers–especially if they outranked you. It not only complicated things in their opinion, but it was also unethical for a superior to date someone who was under them because it created an unsettling power balance. And you understood that in some instances of students dating their professors that power imbalance did occur, you were just lucky that that hadn’t been your experience with Daemon.
“It just isn’t right,” your mother shook her head, “for a professor to date one of their students. You must understand that, Mr. Targaryen.”
Oh, now they were on a last name basis–this wasn’t good.
“I understand your concerns,” Daemon hummed, “and trust that they were addressed early on between your daughter and I, but I would never jeopardize my career or her academic future in such a way.”
“But you have by even continuing to see her,” your dad argued. “Even if she isn’t in one of your classes, she’s still a student at the college you work for.”
“Yes, however we both keep our personal lives very separate from the university,” he continued, standing firm in his words. “Your daughter only has two more semesters left, so we see no need to worry; once she has graduated we can make our relationship more public so as to not put either of us in an uncomfortable position.”
“You must see how unethical and even immoral this is,” your mother continued to push before looking at you. “Honey–”
“Daemon has never allowed his private feelings to impact his treatment of me in class,” you defended him. “And now that I’m not on his roster it’s easy for us to keep those parts of our life separate. I understand that this isn’t conventional and it might even be inappropriate but….fuck! I don’t care, okay? I just really don’t and if you can’t accept that then that’s fine–well, not really, but I’m not going to let it affect my relationship. Daemon and I will continue to see each other no matter what you have to say.”
You didn’t dare look at Daemon, too fearful that it would cause you to falter in your words, but you could feel his stare burning into the side of your face; a part of you didn’t even have to look to know that it was an expression of pride he wore as you relaxed back in your seat. Your parents sat across from you, stunned into silence, father staring at you as you mother fiddled uncomfortably with her silverware; all the while Urrax panted obliviously, begging for scraps at the side of the table.
“Now,” you sighed, taking a deep breath as you pushed back from the table and stood up, hand reaching for Daemon, “if you’ll excuse us–I’d like to show Daemon my room. Okay?”
For a moment you feared that they’d ask you to leave the house entirely, unable to process what had just transpired let alone accept the simple fact that Daemon and you had been brought together by his status as your professor.
“Okay,” your father sighed, the one word lifting the burden from your heart as you let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding. “But we’re talking more about this–”
He gestured between you and Daemon with his fork.
“In the morning.”
“Dad–” You frowned, ready to nip any objections to your relationship in the bud.
“I ain’t gonna say nothing more about my thoughts on the whole ‘professor’ thing,” he said the word with a hint of distaste. “I just want to get a better picture of….it.”
You saw your mother nodding in agreement, seeming to come back to herself as she took a deep calming breath in and let it slowly out.
“....Alright,” you agreed after a moment before turning to leave. “Dinner was delicious, mom….good night.”
“Night, sweetie,” you heard her sigh as you left them to the rest of their meal and led Daemon  upstairs.
Your childhood bedroom was the same as you had left it when you moved out for college, a shrine to the young girl you had once been when your mom still drove you to practices and away games, back when you spent a majority of your time in your father’s shadow. If only you had stayed that age. But alas, you grew up as kids tended to do and as Daemon pressed you back into the floral print bed sheets all thoughts of your adolescence left your mind.
Moaning, you kissed him back with a fervor, one hand combing through his silky shoulder length hair while the other one pulled his shirt from the waistband of his jeans. Pulling away temporarily, he quickly undid the buttons of the shirt before shrugging it off his shoulders, tossing it to the floor of your bedroom before leaning back down to kiss you. His kisses made you breathless, trying to catch your breath between each one as he rubbed against you.
“I didn’t expect all that down there….” he chuckled, lips trailing the length of your jaw and down to your neck, he sucked on the skin there as you let out a gasp your hands falling down to grip at his lower back; his hips pressed into yours, rubbing the outline of his hardening cock against your core.
“Me either,” you pant, laughter on your tongue as you reach your hands between the two of you to fumble with the buckle of his belt. “Fuck….help me get this off.”
“Eager, aren’t we?” He teased, pulling back all the same to give you better access, his own hands reaching down to help undo the zipper of his pants.
“As if you aren’t,” you shot back, licking your lips as you saw the hint of his cock peeking out from between his open fly.
His hand found the back of your head, fingers rubbing your scalp as he patiently waited for you to shimmy his pants down past his buttocks and pull his semi-hard cock out. Spitting in one hand, you grab it in a firm grasp and slowly stroke from base to tip, eyes flicking up to gauge his reaction. You watched the tilt of his head as he looked up the ceiling, eyes closing as he let out a soft moan, hand still tugging through your hair before pressing back against your skull. Once he stiffened a bit more, you rubbed your thumb over the leaking tip, leaning forward to take it into your mouth. Another groan escaped Daemon’s lips, louder this time, deep in his throat as he slowly pressed forward–feeding you his cock.
“Good girl….” He sighed reverently. “So good for me….that’s right–take me all the way to the back of your throat.”
Glowing under his praise, you reminded yourself to relax the back of your throat muscles as he had instructed you in the past, feeling the head of his penis slip into the narrow opening. It was difficult to remember all of it–relax, breathe through your nose, don’t neglect the base….at that thought you reached up your hand, caressing over the heavy weight of his balls before gripping where the shaft met the bottom. Her jerked slightly in your hand, bumping the back of your throat and causing you to gag but you simply stalled, taking a deep breath through your nose and letting it out before continuing.
“There we go,” he grunted, hooded eyes flicking down to stare at you–jaw unhinged, mouth open as you took his dick so well.
Never one to want to waste cum down your throat, however, Daemon tapped you on the shoulder when he was good to go and you pulled back. Licking your lips, feeling how swollen they had become with the tip of your tongue, you rested back on your elbows, clothes still on but disheveled as you awaited your boyfriend’s next move. He wasted no time of ridding you of your shoes and pants, leaving you in your button up blouse–sans buttons when he tore it open much to your ire–as well as your bra and panties; though the latter quickly followed as Daemon discarded your underwear as well, free hand stroking his cock as he placed himself between your legs.
Using one hand to open you up, he used the other to guide himself inside of you, tip of his cock teasing your clit with a few brushes across before finding its target. Biting your lip, you fell fully on your back as you kept your legs wide open for him, only closing momentarily to squeeze his hips as you resisted the urge to lift and impale yourself on his cock the rest of the way. Daemon liked to tease you in the beginning, pushing in inch by agonizing inch, until he was balls deep into your pussy–only then did he give you both what you wanted.
He fucked into you with an enthusiasm none of your other lovers could’ve ever hoped to match, hands gripping either of your thighs in a vice grip as he held you open for himself, watching at how well he pounded your pussy. A satisfied smirk curved his lips, eyes flicking up to meet yours, which were glazed over and unfocused as all you could do was lie there and take his punishing pace. Gasping, you reached down with both hands to grip his wrists, holding on for dear life as you already felt yourself so close to the edge; usually when he noted your approaching orgasm, he would slow down and drag it on, taking you to edge and keeping you there for hours but tonight it seemed he had different plans. Instead of slowing down when you felt that knot forming in your stomach, he went faster, fucking into your with even more vigor as you held in the more alarming of your moans–last thing you needed was your parents hearing your professor screw you into the matress under their own roof.
“Daemon….” you whimpered. “I–I….I need to–”
“You know how to ask nicely, pet,” he teased, rhythm never letting up as his hands slipped from your thighs to your hips, slamming you down onto him as his hips met your ass in a stinging slap again and again.
“Can I–oh!” Your body jerked as one of his hands slipped to your clit, rubbing the bud with the warm pad of his thumb as he kept up his onslaught of attacking thrusts. “Oh shit–fuck! Daemon, can I–can I please cum?! I need to cum all over your cock, I need–ah!”
All senses left you as Daemon reared up, the force of his thrust lifting your lower body as he held you there, back arching and pressing further into the mattress as the dam in your stomach broke–your orgasm washing over you. His thumb stopped moving on your clit, instead holding you there in the chasm where pleasure met pain, lips and thighs wet with the slick of your arousal. You felt the pulse of his own release wash over inside of you as he gave small rolls of his hips against your suspended ass, grunting as the tension finally broke and he let you fall once more to the bed, partially into his lap. Your legs rested uselessly on either side of his hips, racked with residual tremors of your post-coital bliss; sweat coated your skin, prickly and orgasmically uncomfortable as your entire epidermis hummed with sensitivity, body jerking involuntarily from the slightest caress of Daemon’s body brushing against yours.
After a few moments of settling, he finally pulled himself from inside you, a broken whimper leaving your mouth at the loss. Chuckling, he settled his body against your side, shifting both your bodies slightly so that he could tuck himself against your backside, flaccid wet cock rubbing against your ass as you leaned back into him. Your head tucked under his chin as you quietly laid there, feeling how his seed slipped out from inside and dripped onto the bed sheets, both of you allowing the quiet to envelop your bodies before sleep eventually claimed you.

WIP from a larger story I was writing analyzing how each member of Alkaloid interpret “love”.
I wrote Aira’s first thinking his lack of hard lore would make creating family ocs easier. Also i love him. His recent events, however, have made what I’ve written so wrong that I’d have to scrap most of the finished chapter anyways so here’s what I wrote like a year ago:
Follow Aira talk about love stories in his family and his own struggles to find love before high school. Gen with no ships (unless you want to count aira’s parents (mom x dad) and his grandparents (grandma x grandpa) as ships).
♡❤♡❤♡❤♡
Despite talking about it all the time, Aira didn’t really understand love. Sure there were things he knew he loved; his friends and idols, but the idea of all powerful love felt daunting.
Aira was young when his grandparents passed, but he remembered visiting their house and watching how his grandmother quietly moved around the house taking care of her husband. His grandfather was a large man with a boisterous voice who loved telling stories.
One of his favorites to tell was how he and his wife had met. It was love at first sight according to him. They had met eyes across the dance floor and right then and there he knew it was meant to be. He immediately rushed across the room to ask her to dance and with a shy smile, she agreed. They had danced all night, the brightest stars in the discotheque. They were from two different worlds: him a French exchange student and her an aspiring Japanese singer, and yet they were joined together through the universal language of dance and love. He decided right then and there as he listened to her laugh as they twirled that he would give up everything in the world just to hear that sound again.
Often at this point of the story, Aira’s grandfather would pull his wife away from whatever she was doing into his arms and begin singing as they swayed and she laughed. “You are still as beautiful as the day I first met you, mon amour.”
Aira always loved when his grandfather told love stories about him and his wife because that’s when his grandmother looked the happiest. Whenever Aira looked at his grandmother, she always had a sad look on her face. She looked so different from the photographs framed on the mantle. There was one photograph of her on stage in a sparkling dress looking vibrant and smiling as she sang to an audience.
Once Aira asked his grandmother about the photograph. She smiled as she explained that the photo was of her singing at her first concert. She had been so excited and nervous leading up to it, but her husband and friends gave her the confidence to get up on that stage and sing to the crowd. She was just one of many acts that night, but it felt to her that the crowd cheered for her the most as they called for an encore.
“What happened next? You became a famous singer, right?” Aira looked up at her with stars in his eyes.
His grandmother’s face fell a little.
“Mm, life isn’t as simple as that, Aira-chan,” she said, “I did a few more concerts and did many more gigs at various bars, but I couldn’t really get my foot in the door. Then I had your mother and got married, and there wasn’t really any time to be a singer anymore.”
“So you just gave up?”
“Life is full of sacrifices and unexpected things, Aira-chan. Some choices will stop you from following your original dreams and replace them with different ones. And sometimes you can’t fight destiny, even if it’s not the destiny you wanted. I left home to become a singer instead of a housewife with some man my father wanted me to marry, and yet I still found myself becoming one.”
Aira turned over his grandmother’s words in his head. “... Do you hate Grandpa because he kept you from following your dreams?”
His grandmother smiled as she knelt down and pulled Aira into her arms. “No, I still love him. Love is a complicated thing. I am sad and regret not following my original dream of becoming a singer, but I found new dreams. I now dream to have a happy life for my family and I. I love my husband, even when he gets on my nerves. He helped bring me out of my shell and gave me the strength to go on stage in the first place. I love my daughter and how she has found success and happiness where I couldn’t.”
She pressed a kiss to Aira’s head. “But most of all, I love you my little Aira-chan. My sweet darling grandchild, I want you to follow your dreams, but never discard your feelings to the side in search of reaching them. You may find along the way that the people supporting you will share your dreams and help you reach new ones you had never thought of before.”
To Aira, his grandparents experienced true love, but it was different than how it looked in the fairy tales. Aira could tell that they loved each other deeply, but it was a complicated love. A love where both sides had to give up something important to them for the other. His grandmother gave up her dreams and his grandfather gave up his home to stay with her. They were happy, but it wasn’t without sacrifices.
Aira watched his parents spend time together. They weren’t the type to talk about their love stories, but the few times they did, Aira listened with great interest.
His parents met in college. They were in the same chemistry class (“Calculus class!” his mother would correct, “You are changing the details to make a joke!”) and sat next to each other, exchanging notes when the professor was being especially obtuse. After class they would get coffee and study together. They were in different majors, but both still enjoyed helping the other study for exams and check one another’s essays.
His mother was the most beautiful person on campus (“You liar, you were the ones with the looks between us,” she corrected again, “All the girls on campus kept trying to ask you out, despite your rejections.”) and so his father was constantly working hard to fight off her suitors in droves before he could work up the nerve to confess.
“It was so sweet, his confession,” his mother reminisced, “He invited me to get crepes after finals and confessed with a little love letter and everything like we were school children. It was cute.”
His father always blushed at that. “Well it’s not easy to say everything in my confession with a drop dead gorgeous woman in front of me. It’s a miracle I learned anything in that class with your smoking hot mother sitting next to me.”
“Based on your test scores, I don’t think you did.”
“And who’s fault is that for distracting me?” He saddled up close to his wife and pulled her close to kiss her silly.
“Your own!” she cried between pearls of laughter, “Stop that!”
Aira would usually stick his tongue out and say “ew!”, but his father would just laugh it off.
“One day you’ll find someone who you will love and who will love you just as much in return and you’ll understand this feeling, Aira,” his father said, “Someone who will make you feel butterflies with only a look, but also calms you down at the same time just by being in the same room. Love is full of extremes and feelings pulling you in opposite directions, but that’s the fun of it. Love is an experience.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, Dad! Now stop being so close to Mom! You’re too close! That’s not allowed!”
“Too close? I think I can get closer before the modesty police come barreling through our door. What do you think, dear?” He leaned in closer to plant another kiss on her lips.
“Nooo!!!” screamed Aira as he covered his eyes.
Parents kissing was incredibly gross to their children, but even Aira couldn’t doubt the fact his parents loved each other. His parents weren’t the type to hold back from showing physical displays of affection whether to each other or to their son. Even when Aira started to drift away from his parents as he got older, his father would still ruffle his hair and his mother would give him a kiss from time to time. To Aira, it felt like those displays of physical affection were the most distinctive cultural aspect in his home from his even more affectionate French grandfather. And despite his protests, they were comforting in a way. Aira could feel the lack of their presence as he seeked out his parents less and less.
Aira sometimes wondered if his father was right that he would one day find someone who would love because in school it felt like he was only born to be hated. Elementary school was brutal and full of bullies, but middle school somehow hurt more. Suddenly, his appearance was no longer a source of disgust from fellow children poking fun at whatever doesn’t fit the norm. Instead, it was seen as a hidden beauty. He felt like the ugly duckling who had just realized he was actually a beautiful swan.
The other students stopped bullying him directly for his looks and girls started to look at him with new eyes. He received his first love letter and, excited about the idea of someone loving him, Aira said yes right away. Popular and with a new girlfriend to boot, Aira felt like life was finally going perfectly.
But that didn’t change the fact he was still an ugly duckling in his heart. Soon after spending time with his classmates, Aira found himself being detested again, but this time for his inner soul.
His mother had warned and comforted Aira about people making fun of his looks. How they were just picking on what they don’t understand and how he shouldn’t take their words to heart since appearances weren’t what really mattered anyways. Anyone who really cared would judge a person based on their personality instead of their looks.
So what was Aira to do when it was his personality getting targeted? He thought he had finally made some friends for the first time, but they all threw him away as soon as they saw the Real Him. Aira always hated how people made assumptions about him. How they assumed he knew French or was less Japanese than the rest of them. If they knew the Real Him, they wouldn’t say things like that. But now people have found out about the Real Him, and they still hate him.
Rumors that the French student was a weird idol freak spread quickly amongst the student body. Aira worried that the bullying would start up again, but it stayed quiet. His growing popularity was killed in its infancy, but people still didn’t directly target him anymore. Sure, he got passing remarks or painful comments dropped by others whether on purpose or not, but no one was seeking him out to torment him anymore. He became something less than hated– ignored. Something he would have begged to be a second years ago, but still stung nonetheless. His true self was so pathetic, he didn’t even deserve the attention that came from being hated.
“I must not be worthy of love then,” thought Aira to himself.
He found his only solace in his online friend, but even with them, Aira wondered if they would still like him if they knew him in real life. Aira thought hard about how it would ever be possible for someone to love a freak like him.
He was watching one of his favorite idol’s livestreams when it hit him: If he became an idol, Aira could prove himself worthy of others’ love. He could bring a smile to people’s faces and be loved by tons of fans. He could succeed where his grandmother failed and become a singer like she dreamed of. And since no one would ever fall in love at first sight with him, he wouldn’t even need to worry about his dreams needing to change.

Since that article about physical contact vs non-physical contact in different countries, here are some experiences I've had about it:
Usamericans are, by far, the most different from my experience. They are the only ones that get physically tense if you unexpectedly touch them, the only ones that would make a step back if you get to close so as to keep their personal space safe. The first time I met a Usamerican, he was my age (17 at the time), and he was staying in my house for a week as part of an exchange program. My mother felt that he was always very tense, that he needed to relax and so she did what every Spanish mother in her place would do: hug him, hold him, touch him and feed him. He would only get tenser, to my mother's frustration. Nobody explained us or him that the reason he was so tense in our house was the incredible amount of physical contact he was seeing and experiencing all the time by everyone. I have also met very huggy and physically affectionate usamericans and I wonder in which circles they usually move or where are they from because they are an exception. It was on the internet that I first saw "PDA" (public displays of affection) as something negative that people shouldn't do. I guess it comes from the US, it may also be a UK thing?? I don't know. It was confusing because people seem to get angry at it and I am like "what are you supposed to do then? How do people know you like them?" Also, learning that teachers are NOT (never ever) supposed to touch their students, I was in shock. What do you do with toddlers? They need physical affection and they will come up to you for it. What if a 12 year-old is crying? Aren't you going to at least confort them? How do you confort someone without touching them? Now that I know more about US culture, I wonder if white people are more distant than black people, or if religion plays a role.
Chinese and Japanese people I've met tend to keep their distance and may feel uncomfortable but, the ones I've had more contact with, soon get used to it and even enjoy it. I guess many won't or will find it invasive, but I have met some who went all in the moment they saw a world where you could hug people just because. I particularly remember two Chinese girls who, upon meeting a lot of Spanish people in France and seeing we were always hugging and touching, started to do it *way too much*, touching body parts you are not supposed to touch (like ass or boobs) because I guess for them it was all equally accessible/non-accessible, so we had to teach them to control themselves a bit. There was also a Japanese young man, a friend of a friend, who was shocked at first but then travelled around Europe and came back like "nobody was touching me :((((". He thought it was a European thing. He told me that back home in Japan, nobody would hug him, not even his mom.
Northern Europeans always keep their distance and won't hug you unless there is a need for it (and depending on the country/person, maybe not even then). Any other physical contact that is frequent in Spain, like grabbing someone's shoulder, is weird and could be interpreted as flirting. I have seen hugs and physical closeness in Sweedish series in situations that US series won't do, but I still had to tell my Northern European friends in Russia that, now that we were friends, I expected hugs and would ask for hugs frequently. Even with that, I once asked a Swiss friend for a hug and he went "why?". I was in shock. "What do you mean "why"? Because I want a hug? You shouldn't question hugs!". A Spanish friend in Switzerland told me that when she broke up with her boyfriend, her Swiss friend was there listening and giving company but not once did she got close enough to touch her. Not even for a hug. A Sweedish girl who couchsurfed at my place for a couple of weeks said that Madrid was the city of love because people were always hugging, snogging, kissing and touching each other everywhere (particularly couples).
A UK friend once told me about a girl he knew was feeling sad and he left her crying in her room and I was like "what the fuck. why would you leave her crying" and he said "that's what you do, if she wants to cry, you give her space" and I was like "listen to me: if a Spanish, and I would go as far as saying a Mediterranean, is crying, you better stay around. You keep an eye on them, you hug them, hold their hand, give them food. You do not leave someone who is crying and having a bad time alone unless they ask for it, and even then, you keep watch and check on them later on". He told me that you should leave English people alone when they are feeling blue (I can't promise I would do that but fair enough, I'll keep it in mind).
The UK is the only place where I don't know what is it that I do that people think not only that I'm flirting, but that things are happening between us, when I'm just there. I'm usually very good to know when I'm flirting and when I'm not but somebody may be interested. In the UK, it has happend a couple of times that we were having a normal conversation and then suddenly there was a certain complicity and I was there like "whaaaaat.... oh shit, I got in too close, didn't I? I may have touched their elbow on my way to the toilet or something".
Russians are surprisingly similar to Spanish, culturally and in character. There wasn't that much cultural shock there. They are not as touchy as Spanish people are, but they enjoy it, they hug people easily and they like physical closeness. Particularly, young girl-friends are very tactile, they often hold hands in the street, hug, etc. I have seen teenagers sitting on each other in public parks, I have seen couples hugging and kissing in the street. When travelling by train with my Spanish friend who lives in Switzerland, we chatted with some 50 year-old men in our wagon. She joked to one of them (in Spanish, I translated) and touched his arm to help drive the joke (he mentioned weaponry and she said "are these the Russian guns?"), and he didnt' bat an eye, he laughed and nodded. "Oh, they don't mind being touched" she pointed out.
Latin Americans seem to me just like Spanish, but they feel Spanish are cold and distant.
I think, amongst the Mediterraneans, we are all more or less the same, whether it's Europeans, Maghrebians, Balkans... I have a feeling that some Asian countries and some African countries might be similar too, but I don't have much experience with them.
I'd say the way it works in Spain is this: we touch people to communicate with them. It serves the purpose of showing we are there, we like your company, we are listening. If you paid attention, you could see who gets along with whom, who are closer friends or family by how they stand next to each other and how they touch each other.
I will end with an anecdote. I am currently interpreting psychological sessions for Russian refugees. We were in a session and the psychologist received a phone call, she excused herself saying that it was the doctor and maybe something had happened at school with her daughter. She apologised herself, she was only picking up in case there was an emergency. It wasn't the doctor so she asked to be called later but she was quickly given some good news before hanging up. She said "I apologise, but I need to share this with you." She shared the news with us, crying because she got emotional. My first instinct (that I noticed only because there was a Russian person there who may not be familiar with Spanish ways) was to touch her arm so she knew we were there. I asked her "do you want a hug?" and she said yes. So we hugged and the patient came to hug her as well, copying us. We stopped a professional work environment to hug a person who was celebrating some happy news, to help her regain composure and feel accompanied.

My take on Miles and Gwen's future kid
Meet Charlotte Samantha Angelica "Angie" Morales-Stacy
Tumblr media
Sadly, my art skills aren't nothing to go crazy, MUCH LESS with people, somehow creatures I draw much better.
Regardless for awhile I had been wanting to take this design out of my head, and if I get to commission someone to bring this real life, thought it would be good to try to do a reference.
A few fun facts about her!
Just like her canon equivalent, she is oldest. Also spoiled rotten by EVERYONE around her.
That scar under her eye? She was playing with the webs-shooters with her brother, he threw something at her direction and BARELY missed her eye. The use of web-shooters at home has been banned ever since.
She has three piercings, one clear crystal on her nose, ring piercing on her lower lip and ball in her tongue, those last two are in rainbow titanium.
Lives for the spectacle, she actually likes to do "shows" in the air, accompanied by her own music that resonate in the webs as she do tricks in the air at the rhythm of the song.
She has left messes around the city and scaring the living shit out of her parents more than once with her daredevil tricks.
More under the cut + some art notes!
Her name, Angelica, is because is a very common Spanish name, but is also the name of punk-rock all-girl band from the 90s, that I hc Gwen was fan of.
The name was appropriate because she loves punk-rock music just like her mom; Hobie is her favourite "uncle" for this reason.
Black eyeliner is a MUST, those triangles at the beginning of her eyes are part of her signature look, so she refused to go out of the house without at least that.
I am leaning towards her either keeping her blonde hair, or deciding to dye it herself.
(If she dyes it, the reason behind was to look more like her mom. Growing up people constantly didn't think they could be related because Angelica's dark skin + black traits. So she got fed up.)
A lot of her teachers still hate her because she is the type of student you can tell isn't paying attention, but then the Math teacher calls her to resolve a problem and does it in record time; so they can't say anything to her.
Exceptionally good with numbers and physics; you wouldn't believe it when she is in the air but a lot of times she is calculating more or less where she would end.
"A show needs a choreography, but I also like to improvise, so I need to do make sure nothing goes off-course, no biggie" <- Says with a poker face as if doing calculations in real time isn't that impressive.
Can be absolutely charismatic when putting on a show, but is actually pretty awkward when interacting with people she isn't familiar with. Unless she is in her hero persona.
Miles and Gwen are kind of annoyed at her about it too; she is brilliant but she does the minimum required for school because she honestly doesn't care and thinks the school system is bullshit anyway.
(Yep that had to do with Hobie, Gwen gave him an earful for that one.)
Still likes to help people and do what she can, but she can't say is something she wants to focus her life on.
Okay that's enough notes from her for now, now some art notes.
The shape of her head and face, eyes and eyebrows are actually from Gwen.
The nose and lips are from Miles, though you can tell Miles got that nose from his dad.
The is buzz cut on the sides, but it goes longer on the top. It may not had worked, but I tried my best to imitate Rio's hair texture.

In Miss Blye’s Class, Part 29
***
Caleb agreed to see Monica a couple more times over the next week, though he kept himself slightly distanced for most of her visits and usually insisted that Deeks accompany them everywhere. As much as Deeks debated if letting her back into their lives was a sound decision, he was glad that Caleb still trusted him so deeply.
When asked how long she planned to stay, Monica gave an ambiguous response about wanting to get acquainted with the city. Deeks didn’t love the vague parameters, but he supposed it was a pleasant surprise that she’d kept her word and hadn’t skipped out without a word. Yet.
Sighing, Deeks checked his reflection in his bedroom mirror, straightening the collar of his shirt one more time. It absolutely refused to stay flat though. Sometimes he really did hate wearing suits.
“Hey kiddo, you about finished in the bathroom?” he called out, listening for a response. “Caleb?”
A moment later, Caleb raced into the, curls flying in every direction, and barreled into Deeks’ legs.
“Oh thank god. I thought you might have fallen in.”
“Daaaad!” Caleb protested, throwing his head back as he clung to Deeks.
“You ready to go?”
“Yeah. Let me get my backpack.” He ran out again, meeting Deeks by the front door with his backpack on and a superhero in one hand.
Once they were waiting in the car rider line, Caleb unbuckled his seatbelt, and climbed into the front seat like usual. Up ahead, they could see Kensi letting students out of their cars and directing them to the entrance.
“Dad, is Kensi coming over to tonight?” Caleb asked, pressing his face close to the passenger window.
“Uh maybe, we’ll have to see. It’s been a little crazy,” Deeks answered.
Caleb seemed to mull that over, then turned, his lip jutting put.
“Don’t you want to see her?”
Deeks’ heartbroken at that, and he immediately reached out to ruffle his hair.
“Of course I do. I like spending time with Kensi almost as much as you do.”
“It’s because of mommy, isn’t it?”
Deeks sighed, dragging a hand through his hair as he turned to briefly stare out his own window. It was true Monica’s presence had thrown a slight wrench in his and Kensi’s relationship. Unless Monica stayed more permanently, a thought that had kept him up several nights, he didn’t want to put Kensi through the drama that meeting Monica would inevitably bring.
Caleb didn’t need to know any of that though. He was having enough trouble dealing with his mom’s presence without throwing in additional grown up problems into the mix.
Glancing back at Caleb, he offered him a half-smile.
“Kensi’s been pretty busy with the end of the year coming up and we’ve been busy, so there just hasn’t been the time. How about I ask if she can come on Saturday?” he offered. “Does that sound good?”
Caleb’s face brightened with a toothy smile, and he nodded enthusiastically.
“Yeah, that would be great. And maybe you can cook lasagna again cause last time Kensi really liked it.”
“Sounds like a plan, buddy.”
***
Although Deeks insisted that he was doing better, Kensi could tell that he was strained. His texts were a little more clipped, his humor slightly forced, and when she saw him during drop offs, he seemed harried. She very purposely reminded herself not of it had anything to do with her.
Like father like son, Caleb continued to be less than his cheerful and outgoing self. From the few tidbits he dropped, Monica had come for dinner several times. He’d confided, after swearing her to absolute secrecy, that Deeks was not happy.
With that in mind, she grabbed a couple of coffees and pastries after work, heading for Deeks’ house. She figured Deeks needed the pick-me-up, and to be perfectly honest, she didn’t feel like waiting to see him until Saturday.
The sound of music with a heavy beat that didn’t sound like Deeks’ usual taste emanated from the house as she reached the front door. She pressed the doorbell three or four times before the music turned off abruptly and the door swung open, revealing a dark-haired woman in denim shorts and a t-shirt
Kensi’s eyes widened for a few seconds before she caught herself.
“Well hello, you must be Kensi,” the woman greeted her, giving her a very obvious and thorough once over.
“And you must be Monica,” Kensi tossed back.
“I can see why Marty likes you. Come on in,” Monica offered.
That sounded like the very last thing Kensi wanted to do, but somehow she felt Monica was challenging her. So, she followed Monica in, pushing down the vague jealousy that threatened to creep in at her comfort in Deeks’ home.
“Actually, I was just dropping these off for Deeks. Is he around?” Kensi held up the coffees and bag of pastries.
“He took Caleb to pick up dinner.” Leaning closer, Monica dropped her voice to an almost flirty whisper. “I wouldn’t mind a coffee though. Then we could chat.”
“I’m not sure that’s a good idea,” Kensi said. Just off a few moments, Kensi knew she didn’t want to spend anymore time in Monica’s company that necessary.
“Ooh, are you intimidated by me, Kensi? Maybe jealous?” Monica taunted, chuckling.
Biting back any response that would give Monica satisfaction, Kensi shrugged. “Fine.” She wordlessly walked into the living room and set the coffee and food down. “What do you want to talk about?”
“Let’s start with how you and Marty met.”
“No. I’m not discussing our relationship with you,” Kensi told her firmly, crossing her arms.
“Ooh, that hit a nerve. That’s ok. I already know you’re a teacher, you’ve been dating for a few months, and Marty is hopelessly head over heels for you,” Monica listed off, slowly pacing around the room like some kind of caged animal waiting to pounce.
“Who told you that?” She was fairly certain Deeks would never share so much.
“Mostly Caleb.” Running her fingertip along the top of a picture frame, she paused for several seconds. “It was pretty easy to get him talking about you. Then I might have scene a picture or two and some texts on Marty’s phone.” Monica nodded appreciatively. “Kudos on moving in on the hot dad. I bet the other teachers are so jealous.”
“So you pumped your own son for information and violated your ex-husband’s privacy. You really have no shame, do you?” Kensi said, fury making her voice shake.
“Well, how else am I supposed to make sure that you’re going to take good care of Marty,” Monica said reasonably, which only made Kensi that much angrier.
Kensi inhaled deeply to calm the sudden, intense urge to punch the woman in front of her.
“Since you pretty much abandoned Deeks and Caleb, I don’t really think you’re the best judge of character.
Instead of showing any sign of remorse or pain at Kensi’s blunt retort, Monica just tilted her head, regarding her seriously.
“You see, that’s where you’re wrong.” Monica gestures to herself, moving to stand closer to Kensi again. For the first time, she’d dropped the flirty, biting persona, and seemed to fully believe what she was saying. “I know what Marty and my—Caleb deserve. I knew I wasn’t good enough, which is why I left. But damn if I’m gonna let someone else hurt him like I did. He deserves to be happy.”
Kensi stayed silent for several moments, then tipped her chin up, facing Monica just as seriously. “He is happy.” She nodded to the table. “Enjoy the coffee and the rest of your visit, Monica.”
Then she walked out of the room, and the front door. It wasn’t until she was in the her car that she let her head fall back. It felt as though she’d just been through a brutal boxing match, and she wasn’t sure who had won.
***
A/N: Monica continues to be the worse. Even if she thinks she has noble intentions.

CAFE CUTIE - chapter 19
Tumblr media
"jaeyun, why is your little brother here?" you turned to look at him, seeing the boy on his shoulders, the usual smile on his face. even though jun was smiling hard, jake looked apologetic.o
"look im sorry, there was nobody to watch him at the house, so i had to bring him with me. he won't bother anyone or mess up anything."
"it's fine, don't stress about it. he's a good kid as far as i can tell so i know he won't destroy anything. he might as well help everyone." as you said this you thought, why didn't he just not come? watching his brother was more important than a setup and a lunch outing. you could've just had him help with the next school event.
"there's an outdoor and an indoor portion of the dance." you started to explain to him. there were too many students to fit inside the gym, and keeping food outside for hours isn't sanitary. "most of the photoshoot areas and the food will be inside the gym, and the dj setup will be outside."
he nodded at your words, listening very closely to each word you were saying. "we'll start in the gym first though, so we can hang up the banners and such."
suddenly another voice spoke up, "yn! can i help too?" jun asked, "of course you can! can you put these cups and plates on that table over there?" you pointed to one of the tables across the gym, as he followed with a small ok! as he walked further and further into the distance.
Tumblr media
later, it was time for your little "date". you both went home to change into more appropriate clothes, rather than the lazy clothes you both were wearing to be comfortable.
you both met at a small sandwich shop a few minutes away from school, it was a popular weekday spot that students walk to after school, though it was usually quiet on the weekends. you had thought about applying for a job here, but you decided to wait unless the school workload became too much.
jake did offer to pick you up from your house, but you declined not wanting him to waste gas, since it was very pricey these days. luckily your aunt was kind enough to give you some money for gas every once in a while, not having to worry about it as much.
after you both met up inside the shop you decided to sit inside at a little table in the corner, both of you ready to eat your sandwiches due to the hunger you both built while setting up at school.
"jaeyun, why is your sandwich mainly lettuce," you questioned, confused why the sandwich barely had any toppings.
"im picky! and it's not just lettuce. theres turkey and cheese and onions too." he opened one of the flaps on the bread to point out the different ingredients.
"also, you are the only person that calls me by my actual name, it's kinda odd" he mentions, taking a bite into his sandwich with barely anything in it.
"are you gonna complain after everything you've done to me so far? plus, saying jake doesn't sound right when i say it. you know what, why don't i just call you jaeyunnie." you grinned, remembering the nickname his little brother calls him by, him being very openly embarrassed about it.
"hey! stop! he tells you, visibly embarrassed before proceeding to laugh. god his laugh, it was so contagious and so was his smile. it was hard not to smile if he was smiling too, like one of those people that makes you happy just looking at them.
"you know, jun is like the spitting imagine of a smaller me"
"i know, ive seen him. he looks like your mom more though, you look more like your dad"
"how do you know what my parents look like, stalker," he says, smiling again and taking a sip of his drink he ordered who knows when.
"maybe if you took a look around your house you'd see all of the family picture frames, im observant you know, and it's hard to miss," you reply
"nooo my embarrassing baby photos are everywhere please tell me you didn't see them" he pleaded, hands together like that was the worst thing in the world.
you both fell into a nice silence, the only voices coming from workers and the other 2 people on the other side of the shop. you both ate your sandwiches peacefully, along with some more small talk and trash talk about the lack of toppings on his sandwich.
he has his chin resting on his palm, as he burns holes into your eyes.
"you're staring," you tell him
"i know, you're pretty, it's hard not to,” he boldly says, hiding in embarrassment a few seconds later, "I'm sorry i didn't mean to be so sudden" he looks down at the floor, ashamed in case you didn't l yeah
"it's okay...and thank you. you're honestly not so bad yourself-"
"hey! you guys are on a date too?" you hear a familiar voice from the door, louder than usual. at the entrance stands soobin, and what your assuming is yeonjun since he hasn't walked in yet. soobin starts quickly walking over, pulls a chair from another table, and sits on the other end.
you can tell jake is visibly confused at what just happened, and so is yeonjun as he walks over to the table a little slower and politely greets you and jake with a smile, mouthing a "sorry"
you punch soobin's arm, whispering to him "what the fuck are you doing, go somewhere else" before hitting him again and giving a nervous smile jakes way.
"im sorry for the intrusion- we were just leaving haha" yeonjun spoke up, grabbing soobins arm to drag him out the shop, scolding his behavior before they both waved to the two of you before exiting
later, while you were both preparing to leave there was suddenly an elderly woman who had stopped at your table as she was walking in.
"you guys are such a cute couple," she said, putting her hands to her heart
"oh we're not-"
"thank you, we're a year strong" jake suddenly said, his hand grabbing yours and holding it up like it was a prized possession. the lady gave him her thanks and she went on to order her sandwich.
"do you even know that lady?”
"no? i couldn't break her heart i was just being nice"
